The Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette

Today I have another Christmas present to talk about – the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette. This is another palette, just like the Sweet Peach one, that I have been waiting months for and was super hard to get for me. I could not find it anywhere in Canada but somehow my amazing BF got it online and surprised me for Christmas.

The Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette is adorable!

The Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette has nine eye shadows in it, with three in larger pans and six smaller ones. The whole idea of this palette is inspired by the single shade called Peanut Butter in Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette. I happen to have that one as well (my first ever Too Faced palette) and I can see why this shade sparked a whole palette of it’s own.

Let’s see the shadows in the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette!

All nine of the eye shadows have cute themed names and are organized into three sections coordinated for three different looks. The three larger pans have the lightest neutral hues which seem good for a base shade or even highlight. The others are kind of a mix, which a bright bold purple a deeper purple and some neutrals. Overall the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette has more variety than I expected with only nine shades.

I swatched these in the three coordinating sets of shades that go horizontally: Soft & Sweet, Rich & Creamy, and PB&J. My favourite overall was the middle trio, Rich & Creamy, followed by the last one, PB&J, and then finally Soft & Sweet.

The above trio was my least liked bunch overall. My favourite of the Soft & Sweet shades is Peanut Butter Cup, a medium golden shimmer.

The Rich & Creamy trio including shades Bananas, Peanut Brittle, and Jammin'

All three shades in the middle trio were strongly pigmented, smooth to apply, and great colours. Bananas is a lovely light golden yellow shimmer, Peanut Brittle is a more coppery/orange gold shimmer, and Jammin’ is a deep plum hue with golden glitter throughout. That was the most impressive to me, since in the pan Jammin’ looks like it might be dry or the glitter wouldn’t appear, but when I applied it I found neither of those things to be true. This was the most pleasant single surprise of the bunch but the whole trio of the Rich & Creamy set is incredible.

The above trio was my second favourite of the sets. I really loved Jelly and how bright the shade is, and was pleasantly surprised with the opacity of Nuts About U.

All in all I am very happy with this palette and only really have two shades that I don’t love. Peanut Butter and Spread the Love were a bit disappointing, however Peanut Butter in my Chocolate Bar palette is much nicer. I love the purple shades in the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly palette and the three versions of gold shimmer shadows in here are great too. I am glad I finally got this and am looking forward to cooking up some great looks with all my yummy Too Faced palettes!
