Swatches of 14 lipsticks I found in my purse

Do you remember a while back when I found 16 lipsticks that were in my purse? I recently had the same thing happen when I could not find most of my go-to daily shades. I checked my current purse and there they were. Clearly I really like these shades since I keep using them and reaching for them on the go, so I decided to post about them. See below for swatches and more information an all 14 lipsticks I found in my purse!

All 14 lipsticks that were living in my purse

All 14 lipsticks that were living in my purse

There are a few odd shades with bolder hues or something different, but the majority of these are everyday go-to lipsticks. They have been piling up in my bag for about a month now, but I love having them on hand when I need a touch up at work or have a spontaneous dinner date. Almost all of these 14 lipsticks are able to be worn with any look and are shades I can apply in a quick swipe and not worry about. These are some of my most tried and true lipsticks, so keep reading to see the swatches!

Let’s see which shades were in my bag. I split the swatches up to be 7 and 7, so that it doesn’t get too overwhelming in one photo.

From left to right here are the lipsticks in the first swatch photo above.

  • ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in shade Dopey: This is a great mauve lip colour that I can use for everyday wear. I like the ColourPop formula and have a bunch of them in all kinds of colours, but Dopey is one I wear very often.
  • NYX Lip Lingerie in shade Exotic: This liquid lipstick was one of my very first NYX purchases and I love the muted red shade. It feels comfortable to wear and it works well with my tanned skin.
  • Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in shade Sultry: This is such a great formula and feels so smooth and soft. For a matte finish it feels more like a creamy lip balm and is really lovely to wear on an everyday basis.
  • Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede in shade Couture: This also have a great formula like the Revlon Matte Balm, and it feels very smooth and creamy to wear. The colour is a little more sheer but you can build it up with a few swipes.
  • Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Tint in shade Enchanted: This lipstick was one of my first Tarte products and I really love it. It is a light tinted balm so it feels very moisturizing and gives a natural looking flush of colour.
  • Wet N’ Wild MegaLast Lip Color in shade Smokin’ Hot Pink: This lipstick is not one of my everyday hues but it is a great choice for a bright lip. It is uber pigmented and really packs a punch of colour with a single swipe but it can be a bit drying.
  • NYC Smooch Proof Liquid Lip Stain in shade On Everyone’s Lips: This is a very light and thin lip stain that is quite similar to my natural lip colour. It doesn’t last for a full day but is a nice choice for a subtle colour that feels like bare lips.

This next photo has the remaining 7 lipstick shades.

Swatches from L-R: Cherry On Top, Lolita II, Fuchsia Fever, Coral Garden, Deja Vu, Kir Royale, and Naked Coral

Swatches from L-R: Cherry On Top, Lolita II, Fuchsia Fever, Coral Garden, Deja Vu, Kir Royale, and Naked Coral

From left to right these are the 7 lipstick swatches in the photo above.

  • Maybelline Color Whisper in shade Cherry On Top: I love this super soft lipstick. It is semi-sheer so you can build it for more opacity, but it offers such a nice “just ate a Popsicle” tint and has a very smooth and light feeling.
  • Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in shade Lolita II: This super popular liquid lipstick wasn’t on my radar until a little while ago when I took it on a weekend getaway. This teracotta nude is just bold enough to be something different, but definitely not overwhelming or too bright. It isn’t a nude shade on me but it is a nice everyday basic colour and has a good formula too.
  • Benefit They’re Real Double The Lip Lipstick & Liner in shade Fuchsia Fever: This lipstick is defintiely not an everyday shade but it is a bright hot pink that I have been reaching for a lot lately. Supposedly this is meant to have a liner and lipstick in one, with the multi-coloured bullet, but I find that I prefer when I blend them a little more for one overall colour.
  • Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in shade Coral Garden: I love the smell of this lipstick for some reason. It has a nice creamy formula and is a really pretty nude peach hue that I a a big fan of. It is a drugstore classic brand but this particular shade stands out in my collection.
  • ColourPop X Alexis Ren Blotted Lip in shade Deja Vu: This lipstick from ColourPop was a special collab with Alexis Ren and is different than the typical liquid lipsticks or Lippie Stix that they sell. This matte formula is semi-sheer and can be built up for various opacity, but overall I like to wear mine as a medium nude colour. It lasts a long time to wear and I like the smooth formula.
  • Buxom Full On Lip Cream in shade Kir Royale: This is one of very few glosses that I actually like. I am super picky with lipgloss but this Buxom one has enough colour that I enjoy it, and has a non-sticky formula that I don’t mind. It has a slight minty tingle to it as well, but I don’t see a plumping difference at all.
  • Maybelline ColorSensational Inti-Matte Nude Lipstick in shade Naked Coral: I recently posted about this collection and I really loved this pink nude shade. It has a nice smooth formula and lasts quite a long time on me.

So there you go! 14 of my most-used lipsticks that were living in my purse. A lot of mauve, nudes, and muted red shades that are my go-to hues, with a few pops of hot pink as well.

Do you have any of these lipsticks? What shades are rolling around in your purse right now? Leave a comment and let me know!

  • You had 14 lipsticks in your purse?! LOL
The Tarte LipSurgence in Enchanted looks really pretty and a finish that I think I’d like (comfy and glossy). I like the smell of Rimmel lipsticks too. 🙂
I’ve got 3 lipsticks in my purse right now: Nars Satin lip pencil in Rikugien (that freebie birthday gift from Sephora), YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in Pink in Confidence, and MAC Liptensity Lipstick in Smoked Almond.

    • LOL it wasn’t as bad as the time I had 16!

That NARS one is my mom’s fave! I always give it to her when I get a mini in set!
I have been so curious about the MAC Liptensity shades. I haven’t tried any yet but I really want to go to a store to check them out.
