Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara Review

Today I have a new mascara to show you that I received from Influenster to check out. This is the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara and it is meant to give oversized and extended lashes. I haven’t tried a drugstore mascara in a while so I was really excited to try this one out. I have seen it online a lot and the #RevlonxLashes tag is getting lots of traction on social media. With my curiosity in full force I gave this mascara a go – and here we are!

The new Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara has a really nice brush!

The new Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara has a really nice brush!

I have to say that right off the bat I loved the brush of this mascara. I really liked the triangular type shape where the tip is thinner and the base is wider, but all very straight. It isn’t curvy or rounded like a lot of other mascaras and I appreciated the simplicity of this brush. I also really liked the sleek and simple packaging, The tube is like a flattened oval and the black part has a more matte texture which I quite like. Overall this mascara tube and brush look pretty straightforward so I was very curious to see what the results would be.

After trying the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara just once I was pretty happy with it. I have now been wearing it daily for the past two weeks and have been really liking it for an everyday look. I can use one coat or two and get great lashes in just a few swipes. I did not find this mascara to be chunky or flaky, and it really did seem to separate and lengthen my lashes. It did not add Anton if volume or oomph so I don’t think this is a special occasion mascara, but for everyday at work I really like it.

Bare lashes with no mascara (it was a really early morning - can you tell?)

I have to say that although it doesn’t look like anything crazy or fancy from the outside, this mascara delivers solid results. I really like the way my lashes look with the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara and it was super easy to work with and apply. I think this is a good drugstore option.

Unfortunately it doesn’t quite beat out the Maybelline Lash Sensational and Essence Lash Princess mascaras that I love so much. I think the difference is in the formula – the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara is a  little more dry whereas the other two I mentioned are more of a wet formula.

This product was provided to me from Influenster complimentary for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.

Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette

Okay, I have to begin with saying that I know I am super late to the game with this palette. The Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette has been around for a while now (even though it says limited edition) and I have had my eye on it for a long time. It came in and out of my cart on multiple occasions but I always talked myself out of it somehow. Until now. Spoiler alert: I absolutely love it!

The Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette

The Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette

I bought this Tarte palette as an early birthday present to myself when Tarte was having a recent sale. I got it at a great price ($33 Canadian when it usually is $52) and was pretty excited to finally get it. I have heard and seen a lot about it and always was interested, but when it finally arrived at my doorstep and I opened it up I was totally blown away. This palette it way better than I pictured it to be, and swatch photos online did it no justice. I was so impressed and happily surprised with how much more I loved this palette in person. I am so glad that I bought it and it had become one of my absolute favourite palettes in my collection now.

The Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette comes with 10 eyeshadows and one highlighter. The highlighter is intended for eye and cheek use and although at first I hardly noticed it, I actually ended up really liking it.

There is one strange thing about these 10 eyeshadows and I think everyone notices it right away when they see this palette. It has 9 shimmery metallic shadows and one random plain matte. I think that is such an odd choice, since this easily could have been an all shimmer fun palette. The one lonely little matte shadow (a nude light brown) is so out of place. It isn’t enough to really make a whole look with only one matte shadow so it probably could have been left out completely. I don’t find this a big deal but wanted to point it out because it did strike me as kind of strange and funny when I first got the palette.

Aside from one single matte hue, the other 9 shimmery shadows in the Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette are absolutely stunning. I am not kidding that I sat on the floor staring at the swatches and practically drooling over how gorgeous they are. Even now I keep scrolling back through photos of the swatches and just shaking my head at how amazing they all look. There are metallic, duochromes, mermaid hues, and more. Whatever you see in these swatches just imagine it amplified by 10 in real life.

To swatch the Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette I started from the top middle and went clockwise. I have the first five eyeshadows together followed by the other 5 shadows and the highlighter.

Out of the above five shades my favourites are Magic, Wings, and Marvel.

The remaining five eye shadows and one highlighter from the Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette

The remaining five eye shadows and one highlighter from the Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette

All of these swatches are so gorgeous!

From L-R: Fairy, Mystic, Dream, Crystal, Pixie, and Believe (the highlighter)

I can’t really pick favourites in this bunch. I seriously love them all and am so into the blue mermaid hues, the lighter duochromes, the bold metallics, and even the highlighter.

As for the formula of these shadows they are all pretty smooth and easy to work with. Myth (the matte hue) was noticeably drier and a bit chalky, but the 9 shimmers are great. I found some to be almost like cream shadows, where they felts a bit thicker and tackier, but in a smooth and creamy good kind of way. A lot of these reminded me of the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadows which have a similar almost creamy feeling and intense metallic/shimmer payoff. The creamiest ones were Magic, Wings, Mystic, and Dream, but all of the shimmers were really nice.

Overall I am truly impressed with this palette and really glad I finally bought it. I love all of the colours, I love the formula, and the shimmer shades are seriously out of this world. I don’t own anything else like it and the colours are beautiful. The Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette has quickly become my favourite Tarte product and one of my favourite palettes I own.

Do you own this palette or are you interested in getting it? Leave a comment and let me know!

July Julep Maven Box featuring 2 Brand New Julep Items

This is slightly different than my usual Julep box posts because two of the items I chose for my July Julep Maven Box are brand new launches! I chose the two new face items for my monthly box picks and added on a lipstick since I had a credit to use. Both face products are a little more expensive than the usual Julep choices of nail polish, lipstick, liners, etc so I could only pick two items instead of the normal 3 per box.

My July Julep Maven Box including two brand new items!

My July Julep Maven Box including two brand new items!

Let’s start with the lipstick that wasn’t quite part of my July Julep Maven Box. This is the It’s Balm Full-Coverage Lip Crayon in the shade Cardinal Red. This lip crayon is a creamy bold red hue that has a smooth balmy feel. The core is a hydrating treatment with vitamin E and sunflower butter, which combines with the outer colour that has a ton of pigment. I like the formula and the feeling, and it leaves my lips with a shiny but non-sticky finish. This lip crayon feels super smooth and moisturizing. It packs a lot of pigment and is a very bold red shade. The It’s Balm Full-Coverage Lip Crayons come in 18 different hues so you can get the same great formula in a variety of colours.

The Julep It's Balm Full Coverage Lip Crayon and the Cushion Complexion 5-in-1 Skin Perfector

The next two items that I chose for my July Julep Maven Box are brand new launches. I got them early in my box and was super excited to check them out. The first one is the Blank Canvas Mattifying Treatment Primer, which is meant to smooth skin, prep it for makeup, and absorb oil. I am oily to begin with and summer heat makes it much worse, so a mattifying primer is a must-have for me. I really like the feeling of this primer and it is lightweight. I did see a bit less oil throughout the day but my shine is not completely gone. My makeup did look great overtop of it, and I wore it on no makeup days as well. Overall I do like the Blank Canvas Mattifying Treatment Primer and am glad I picked it for my box.

The second new launch that I got in my July Julep Maven Box is the Cushion Complexion 5-in-1 Skin Perfector with Turmeric. This is a multitasking product that is meant to conceal, correct, illuminate, and more. I wanted ti more so for concealing and brightening my under eye area, but I also may use it to spot conceal. I love the cushion tip applicator and the formula is lightweight, smooth, and easy to apply and blend. The coverage is light to medium but is buildable. For my under eye use I actually was quite pleased with this and have been reaching for it a lot lately.

Overall my July Julep Maven Box, and add-on lip crayon, have been great additions to my summer makeup bag. I have used all three items a lot and will continue to do so. I liked the little switch to face products this month instead of my usual nail polish picks, and I loved getting to try the new launches in my box. I definitely am pleased with my July Julep Maven Box choices and look forward to what my August options will be!

Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Summer 2017 Set

It happened again. There was another lip kit at Sephora and of course I had to get it. I absolutely love the Sephora Favorites lip kits and have bought quite a lot of them (which I talked about in this post) so it should come as no surprise that I picked up the latest one. This one is the Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Summer 2017 Set. I did buy this as a birthday present to myself and it was only $33 CAD.

The new Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Summer 2017 Set

The new Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Summer 2017 Set

In this new lip set there are six items in total – one full size product and five deluxe minis. As a makeup addict and blogger I have a ton of lip products so I actually prefer minis since I never use full size lipsticks up.

Before I get to the swatch photos I do want to say that this really isn’t a nude hued kit. Honestly I don’t find many of these kits to make sense with the name, since the shades seem to vary from beige, brown, pink, mauve, and everything in between. I prefer it this way because I like the variety and I wouldn’t want a set of six lip products in the exact same nude shade, but I do find it odd that Sephora keeps having the same name for the sets when they definitely have a wider variety of colour.

Inside the Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Summer 2017 Set

Inside the Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Summer 2017 Set

One last thing I have to say before the swatches. The Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Summer 2017 Set, and many of the previous lip kits, seem strongly suited to lighter skin tones so with my tanned skin the shades can look very different. Some of the lighter nude hues don’t look good on me at all, and other hues pull in totally different ways on my skin tone that they would on a fairer skin tone. Just keep that in mind as you look at the photos, since a few shades may look way different on me than they do on others.

Sephora 2017 Birthday Gift from Tarte Cosmetics

I recently popped into a Sephora and picked up the Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2017 Kit which has some amazing sample size products. I posted about the whole kit here, so go on and check it out if you’re interested! Aside from that kit, I also picked up my Sephora 2017 Birthday Gift, and I chose the Tarte option. The other choice was a Caudalie two-piece skincare mini.

The Sephora 2017 Birthday Gift from Tarte Cosmetics

The Sephora 2017 Birthday Gift from Tarte Cosmetics

The Sephora 2017 Birthday Gift from Tarte is also a two-piece mini set that features a blush and  lipstick in special colours. These are exclusive shades designed just for the Sephora gifts. I have been super into Tarte lately and was really excited for this gift.

How beautiful is that blush?

You may have seen me raving about the Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paints that I have gotten in a gift set and Ipsy bags over the past few months. The Sephora 2017 Birthday Gift includes a Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint so it is like a sister to the lippies I have been loving. This one is smooth, opaque, and creamy and is a really pretty light pink nude hue. The colour is called Birthday Suit which is very fitting for the set.

The blush is one of their famous Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blushes and it is in the shade Paaarty, which is a light pink colour. It is super smooth to apply and gives a lovely flush. It can be layered nicely to add more opacity.

Overall I think this is an adorable Sephora 2017 Birthday Gift and am so glad that Sephora has such a great program that offers this.

Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2017 Kit

Today I have a really fun summer beauty kit to show you. I recently spotted this on the Sephora app and website, but it sold out really quickly so I put it out of my mind. This kit is the Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2017 Kit, which features 11 deluxe mini size products and one full size for only $33 Canadian. I was in a Sephora the other day in another town, and happened to see this kit on the shelf and I had store credit burning a hole in my wallet, so it seemed like the perfect combination.

Sephora Favorites Summer Essential 2017 Kit

Sephora Favorites Summer Essential 2017 Kit

The Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2017 Kit has a range of product types, from skincare to body to makeup. There are 12 different items, all deluxe mini sizes, and they are a variety of brands. Some of them are higher end brands I have never tried, and others are classics. Out of all 12 of the actual products I have never tried any of them so that was a bit factor in the appeal of this kit.

Products in the Sephora Favorites Summer Essential 2017 Kit

Products in the Sephora Favorites Summer Essential 2017 Kit

The products in the Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2017 Kit are the following:
– 1.7 oz/ 50 mL Bumble and bumble Surf Spray
– 1.7 oz/ 50 mL Living Proof Restore Perfecting Spray
– 0.14 oz/ 4 g Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick
– 0.5 oz/ 14.8 mL First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair® Lip Therapy (Full Size)
– 0.5 oz/ 14.8 mL Origins A Perfect World SPF 40 Age-Defense Moisturizer with White Tea
– 0.24 oz/ 7 mL Glamglow Glowstarter™ Mega Illuminating Moisturizer
– 0.25 oz/ 7.5 mL Murad Hydro-Dynamic® Ultimate Moisture
– 0.23 oz/ 7 mL Tarte TarteGuard Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30
– 0.6 oz/ 15 mL Shiseido Urban Environment UV Protection Cream SPF 40
– 0.81 oz/ 24 mL Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
– 0.5 oz/ 14.8 mL Tarte Brazilliance™ Plus+ Self Tanner
– 0.24 oz/ 7 mL Vita Liberata Body Blur Instant HD Skin Finish

I tend to break these kits down into three categories. The first set is the items I am super excited about and was already curious about, researching, and even potentially going to purchase before the kit. The second batch is the middle items, which are nice to have and cool to check out but I wasn’t actively seeking them before the kit. The third group are the ones I never would have checked out if they weren’t included, but being the beauty blogger I am, I will try anything once.

The 4 items I was most excited for in this kit!

With those three groups in mind let’s take a look at group one – the items I was already interested in! I have always been curious about the Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray for some beachy waves. I remember researching it a few years ago and just never bringing myself to buy it, so this is a long time coming that I finally get to try it. I am also excited about the Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream since I have the Sol De Janeiro Lip Balm and absolutely love it. I also have very dry lips right now, so the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy sounds amazing. I love Tarte products and have seen a lot of people talk about the TarteGuard Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion so I was pretty interested in that as well.

More great items in the kit!

The middle group of items includes the Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick. I saw this on Sephora’s app recently and debated on if it would be good for my skin and needs. It’s a nice treat to have it included in this set so I can give it a try. The Living Proof Restore Perfecting Spray was an awesome surprise in this set, because I have been struggling with super tangly hair lately so this will be great to use.

The Vita Liberata Body Blur Instant HD Skin Finish, GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer, and Shiseido Urban Environment UV Protection Cream are all things I hadn’t heard of before but am interested to try out.

The last item in this middle group is the Tarte Self Tanner, since I am naturally pretty tanned and like to be outside in the summer I never really need self-tanning products. I love Tarte though so I will put this aside and check it out in the Fall when I lose my natural tan.

Showing the size of some of the items in my hand

The last group of items are the ones that weren’t even on my radar before I purchased this Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2017 Kit. The Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture and Origins A Perfect World SPF 40 Age Defence Moisturizer both target skin concerns I don’t really have (dry or aging skin) but I will test them out anyways out of curiosity.

All in all I think that for $33 CAD this set is a great deal I have four items I was already actively looking into and considering getting, so these deluxe mini sizes are an awesome way to try them before buying a full size. There are six items in my middle group, which means I am very interested in them and glad to see them included in the kit. The last group only has two items, which I will try out anyways even though they aren’t items I normally would pick up. Overall the Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2017 Kit has a lot of great brands and some really cool products that I am looking forward to using this season.

June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag Review

Today I have another adorable Ipsy bag to show you! Last month was the cute ice cream print Ipsy bag and this month is another really cute design. I am very happy with the items I got in my bag this month. The June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag was a total hit for me! In fact it may be my favourite bag yet!

As for the bag itself it is a really quirky and cute polka dot bag with a large lip print graphic and black border. I love the look of this and will definitely be using it this summer. It is back to the traditional rectangle shaped bag that Ipsy normally does but I like the size so it works out for me.

June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

My June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

What did I get in my June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag?

The five items I got in this month’s bag are a wide range of items.

  • Skone Cosmetics Insanely Intense Tattooed Waterproof Eyeliner in shade Jet Black
  • NYX Cosmetics Whipped Lip & Cheek Souffle in shade Cocoa Bean
  • Pure Brazilian Shine Ultra Light Nourishing Oil
  • The Balm Cosmetics InStain Long-Wearing Staining Powder Blush in shade Pinstripe
  • City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadow in shade Cheers to Life

Out of all of the five items I received in my June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag I am really happy with all of them. Not a single item is a disappointment and I like them all, but there are definitely some stand-out products that I want to talk about.

The Balm Blush, City Color Eyeshadow, and NYX Lip & Cheek Souffle

The Balm Blush, City Color Eyeshadow, and NYX Lip & Cheek Souffle

I absolutely love the NYX Lip & Cheek Souffle and was wowed by the super creamy and soft formula. I don’t think I would wear it on my cheeks since it is so shiny and glossy, but as a lip product it is incredible. It has a yummy vanilla cake scent and is smooth to wear. It feels great on my lips and is a really nice nude colour. I think it would be brown on lighter skin tones but since I am quite tanned I usually need a deeper hue to get a nude lip, and this is a really great shade for that.

The NYX Lip & Cheek Souffle in the shade Cocoa Bean

The NYX Lip & Cheek Souffle in the shade Cocoa Bean

The City Color Cosmetics Eyeshadow really surprised me. First of all it is a huge pan, and second of all the colour is stunning. It is a gorgeous bronze gold hue that has some crazy shimmer/metallic look. I was so impressed when I swatched it and it looks even more incredible in real life.

The Balm InStain Blush is also a huge hit for me, since I have been looking for a long-lasting blush for summertime. I like the shade and love the formula, however the sample size can be a bit tricky to get a brush into. I’ll make it work because I really like the products though!

Swatches of The Balm Pinstripe Blush (blended and just swiped) and the City Color Eyeshadow in shade Cheers To Life (swiped and blended out)

Swatches of The Balm Pinstripe Blush (blended and just swiped) and the City Color Eyeshadow in shade Cheers To Life (swiped and blended out)

The Pure Brazilian Oil is great for my hair in the heat of summer. I tend to need extra care during these warm months and I spend a lot of time in the sun and water, so this nourishing oil will be great to help my hair keep it’s shine and save my ends from frying.

The Skone Cosmetics Eyeliner is neat to check out and since it is such a staple item. It isn’t super unique but black liquid liner is a classic for a reason, so I am glad to have this in my bag.

Overall my June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag was a total win and I like all five items I received. With this bag being such a great one it makes me very excited to see what July has to offer!

What did you get in your June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Sephora Favorites LashStash To Go

As you may know from my recent posts I am a huge fan of the Sephora Favorites Lip Kits. I love that these sets that let you sample different brands and formulas, and I always enjoy checking out the different products. I have quite a few of the Lip Kits, but have never tried the mascara set that Sephora is known for. The Sephora Favorites LashStash To Go Kit is a set of five deluxe mini mascaras from some high-end brands, and it includes a voucher for a full size mascara of your choice.

The Sephora Favorites LashStash To Go Kit

The Sephora Favorites LashStash To Go Kit

I think this is an awesome deal for $33 Canadian. I get to sample five fancy mascaras that I normally would never try, and then I get to pick which of the five that I want to redeem the voucher for. With this kit you end up getting 5 deluxe minis and one full size for an affordable price. The full size options you can redeem for are between $25-$35 each anyways so it is a great value to sample the other ones (and still use the minis) as well as redeem the voucher.

What mascaras are included in the Sephora Favorites LashStash To Go Kit?

  • Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara in Black (deluxe mini) — full size $35
  • Buxom Lash Mascara in Blackest Black (deluxe mini) — full size $25
  • Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara in Excessive Black (deluxe mini) — full size $34
  • Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes, 4 in 1 Mascara in Black (deluxe mini) — full size $27
  • Urban Decay Perversion Mascara in Black (deluxe mini) — full size $27
  • Voucher for full size of one of the above mascaras

I want to take my time analyzing the mascaras in the Sephora LashStash To Go Kit so I don’t have reviews for you just yet. I am working on them one at a time to try them out with and without a lash curler, and see how they look and how they last. I have never tried any of the mascaras included in the kit so they are all brand new to me. I have always wondered if a $30 mascara is really that much better than my usual drugstore picks, so I am very excited to try these brands.

Once I have had enough time to try out and compare all five of the mascaras I will be posting a full review on each, with before/after mascara photos of every one.

If you have tried any of these mascaras in the Sephora LashStash To Go Kit I would love to hear your thoughts so please let me know in the comments!

Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Spring 2017

You must know by now how much I love the Sephora Favorites kits, specifically the lip kits. I have bought the last few that came out, and when I saw the newest one on the website I just could not resist it! This one is the Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Spring 2017 set, and it includes some amazing brands, colours, and formulas. This one might actually be my favourite one out of all the lip kits I have, and I can’t wait to show you why!

The brand new Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Spring 2017 Set

In case you’re interested in them, the other lip kits I have include the following ones:

All of the lip products in the Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Spring 2017 Set

What lip products are in the Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Spring 2017 Set?

Look at all of these lovely shades!

  • Deluxe Mini: Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Kristen (cool desert sand)
  • Deluxe Mini: Marc Jacobs Beauty’s Enamored Hi Shine Lip Lacquer in Sugar Sugar (champagne-gold shimmer)
  • Deluxe Mini: NARS Cosmetics Velvet Lip Glide in Bound (rose pink)
  • Deluxe Mini: Tarte Lippie Lingerie Matte Tint in Revealed (light mocha)
  • Deluxe Mini: Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy in Spice Girl (pink nude)
  • Full Size: Urban Decay Vice Waterproof Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Trivial (matte pink nude)

Now, the above colour descriptions come from the Sephora site but I actually think some of them are very different. The Tarte Lippie Lingerie is much deeper on me and more of a deep brick brown/mocha shade, not light at all. The Anastasia Beverly Hills gloss in Kristen is much more of a deep terracotta pink shade and the NARS Velvet Lip Glide is more like a mauve pink than rose.

The lip products from the swatch photo above

I love all of the colours in this Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Spring 2017 set. The Urban Decay shade is a beautiful medium pink hue that will be perfect for Spring and Summer. I was surprised by how much I liked the Too Faced Lip Injection shade since usually nude glosses don’t show up well on my tanned skin. The Tarte shade is beautiful but probably better suited for Fall.

All of these have amazing formulas and I am very impressed with these products. The Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick is phenomenal and to get a full size in such a pretty shade is amazing. The NARS and Tarte items are so smooth and feel amazing to wear, and the the Too Faced and ABH glosses are really nice as well. The Marc Jacobs gloss is a little sheer for my taste but it will be nice as a topper over another lip product.

Swatches from L-R: Urban Decay, NARS, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Marc Jacobs, Too Faced, and Tarte

Swatches from L-R: Urban Decay, NARS, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Marc Jacobs, Too Faced, and Tarte

Overall this kit is incredible and I really love every item in it. I have loved the other lip kits as well, but this Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Spring 2017 set has such versatility and some incredible brands. I have never tried anything by Anastasia Beverly Hills before,so that was awesome to try that. I have never tried the NARS Velvet Lip Glide, Urban Decay Liquid Lipstick, or Tarte Lippie Lingerie so those were new formulas for me.

All in all, this set is my favourite of the Sephora Favorite kits I own. I love the wide range of brands, colours, and formulas. Although I definitely don’t consider it a set of 6 nude hues, they are all gorgeous lip products that I am thrilled to have in such an affordable set.

Tarte Tarteist Treats set from Sephora

This is my very first Tarte palette and my whole beauty world is changed. I completely see why everyone adores the Tarte palettes! I just got the Tarte Tarteist Treats Set from Sephora and it includes the Tarte Pro To Go palette, a deluxe mini Tarteist Glossy Lip Paint, and deluxe mini Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara.

The Tarte Tarteist Treats Set from Sephora

The Tarte Tarteist Treats Set from Sephora

This set was $33 Canadian, and the Tarte Pro to Go Palette alone is $30, so I got the mini mascara and lip paint for only $3. Plus I had a Sephora gift card so I got this trio for an awesome deal. I have been dying to try Tarte eyeshadow because everyone raves about it and the palettes are so popular. I can totally see why now, and after using the Tarte Pro to Go palette I am completely sold!

What came in the Tarte Tarteist Treats Set from Sephora

The Tarte Pro to Go palette is my favourite item of the three included in the Tarte Tarteist Treats Set. This palette is small but it packs a shimmery punch. There are six shades, with three being matte and the other three shimmer.

I am blown away by the shimmer shades. They are super intensely pigmented with an amazing shimmer that makes them look almost like liquid metal. I love all three of them. I also really like the matte shades, which are also quite smooth and buttery, although I found Drive to be the driest of them all. Overall the six eyeshadows in this palette have an incredible formula and very strongly pigmented colours. I am so impressed!

The min Lip Paint is another item I really like, and since I just raved about the Matte Lip Paint called Vibin that I got in my Ipsy bag, it was great to try out the glossy alternative. The shade included in the Tarte Tarteist Treats Set is called WCW and is a lovely berry hue. I always love berry shades on my skin tone and this is no exception. It has a nice light formula and does not feel sticky. It seems more creamy than glossy to me, which I actually like. It has a sleek and shiny glossy look but not a super wet glossy look.

As for the mascara, the Tarteist Lash Paint mascara, this is one of Tarte’s top mascaras. I have yet to try it since I have a few other open mascaras at the moment, but I really look forward to checking it out and reviewing it later on.

Overall I think the Tarte Tarteist Treats Set was an awesome deal and totally worth it. I am already in love with the Tarte eyeshadow formula and shimmer shades in the Pro to Go palette, and the WCW Lip Paint is beautiful. If you are looking for a way to get into Tarte and try out a few products this set is a great choice!
