The last batch of my 25 Days of Beauty

Good morning and hello 2018! I cannot believe how fast time has flown by! I meant to finish up my 25 Days of Beauty fake advent calendar, but I have been so busy over the holidays. I actually ended up only getting to share 23 products, but I wanted to finish this out. Today I have products 16-23 to share and discuss, but I won’t be using the photos for all of them. If you are interested they are on my Instagram so you can see more over there!

These last products are the same as before – items I really really love or something exciting that I just had to show you. Most of them are quite old, but some are newer favourites or things that really surprised and impressed me. Let’s get right into my last group of the 25 Days of Beauty products!

Day 16) Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture Perfume: This one was one that really surprised me. I have always seen how popular Juicy Couture scents are but have never once smelled or tried one myself. I got this as a sample through Influenster and was so impressed by the yummy, sweet, vanilla candy smell. I don’t know what I was expecting but I really really liked this one and over the past 2 months I have been wearing it a lot.

Viva La Juicy Perfume

Day 17) Dr. Paw Paw Original Balm: I got this a long time ago in a subscription box and have been using it every night. It has a very unique feeling, and it is a creamy balm so it may take time to get used to, but it is not greasy or oily at all. It sinks right into my hands and I use it so often.

Day 18) Ciate London Liquid Velvet Lipstick in shade Pin Up: I got this from an Ipsy bag and have been absolutely obsessed with it ever since. I love the colour of it but more importantly the formula is incredible. It lasts all day long, through coffee, pizza, snacks, drinks, and more. It applies easily and smoothly, doesn’t dry out my lips, and is one of my all-time favourite lip products.

Day 19) Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette: I got this as a gift last Christmas and I still use it a lot. I have brown eyes so I have always liked gold tones and purples to accent them, so this palette seems like it was made for me. You can see my full review on the palette here.

Day 20) Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer: I had heard so many great things about this bronzer for months and months before actually purchasing one myself. Once I did though I saw exactly what all the fuss was about – it is amazing! Super soft and easy to work with, and it gives a nice glow to the skin without any shimmer or glitter. I use this almost every day and love how it looks, and the yummy tropical scent is a total bonus!

Day 21) ColourPop SuperShock Shadow in shade Un: This is by far my favourite ColourPop product I own. This is such a lovely light golden shimmer and I use it so often. I swipe it all over my lid as a quick look, or use it as an inner corner or brow bone highlight with other looks. The formula is amazing, the colour is awesome, and the price was great. The only problem is that I think it was from a limited edition collection and now I can’t find it on the site to repurchase.

Day 22) Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Lip Paint in shade Fomo: I love these Tarte lip paints and have a bunch of minis in different colours. I have been using this pretty shade a lot lately and I love the colour, long-wearing formula, and light application. It has a whipped texture so it feels very light to apply and wear, but it lasts for hours and is very pigmented.

Day 23) CoverGirl Oh Sugar! Lipstick in shade Gumdrop: This is a lighter semi-sheer lipstick that I use more as a balm. It really make my lips feel moisturized and soft, which is great in the cold weather. I like the purple hue because it leaves my lips with a nice berry tone flush of colour, without anything heavy or too thick.

There we have it, the remaining items in my 25 Days of Beauty products. I did not make it to Day 24 and 25 since it was all over the place at about 5 different family events for Christmas, but I hope you enjoyed the 23 items I did share this month.

After these 25 Days of Beauty I am now ready to jump into 2018 and discover all new favourites for the upcoming year. Leave me a comment and let me know some of your favourite beauty products from the past year!

25 Days of Beauty: 11 to 15

Today we have the third set of products from my 25 Days of Beauty Made-Up Advent Calendar! I have been posting a product everyday on Instagram that I really love, use often, or otherwise want to feature this month. I post them in groups of 5 over here so that I can go into more detail and give mini reviews of each item.

Quo Cosmetics Makeup Setting Spray

Today we have items 11 to 15 from my 25 Days of Beauty, which means we have passed the halfway point! Let’s take a look at this group of products!

Day 11) Quo Cosmetics Make-Up Setting Spray: This setting spray is my go-to pick for making my makeup look more like skin. I think it gives a great natural finish and it helps lock my look in place all night.

Day 12) Bite Beauty Multistick in shade Mochi: I love this little multistick even though I tend to use it mainly on my lips. It does work as a nice cream blush if you blend it out, but my favourite way to wear it is to dab it onto my lips using my finger, and blend it out for a softer look. This method helps it stay on like a stain and I get so many hours of wear with this soft matte lip colour.

Day 13) Charmed Aroma Mango Coconut Body Butter: I love the scent of this and I love the formula too! It’s so creamy and softening, and leaves my skin feeling extremely supple. I use this all over and love the tropical smell it leaves. It also came with a ring which was super fun!

Day 14) Tarte Cosmetics Make Believe In Yourself Eyeshadow Palette: This palette is so shimmery and beautiful for the holidays. I love using these shadows for a night out, and I find them very creamy to work with. This may be more of a special occasion palette as opposed to everyday, but I do use it quite often for evening looks.

Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Palette

Day 15) L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche La Lacque and Le Matte Lipsticks in shades 201 Lacque-y Charm and 106 Mad For Matte: I use both of these lipsticks so frequently that I am surprised there is anything left in them. I absolutely love the shade Lacque-y Charm and it is a gorgeous everyday rosy hue. It glides on super smoothly and has a glossy, creamy formula that isn’t tacky or sticky at all. Mad For Matte is also very smooth and not drying at all. It’s a great matte red that isn’t too thick, isn’t crumbly, and is super opaque.

25 Days of Beauty: The First Five

For the month of December I decided to do a 25 Days of Beauty challenge on my Instagram, kind of like my own made-up advent calendar. I would pick one item from my makeup collection to talk about per day, just to share a quick photo and sentence or two about it. After the first few days I realized I had more to say about some of the products, so I decided to compile a blog post per week, to go over the products in a more detailed way.

For this 25 Days of Beauty I had no particular order in mind. I chose items I either just purchased and was excited about, or things I have has for a while and been really loving. It’s a mix of eyes, lips, nails, and anything in between!

Let’s get started with the first 7 products from my 25 Days of Beauty challenge!

Day 1) Essence Cosmetics Matt Matt Matt Lipstick in shade 03: This lipstick is a gorgeous rosy hue and it has such a creamy formula. It applied in one swipe and had great pigmentation, and was a comfortable matte feeling. It lasted for a long time and I love the colour as an everyday shade that isn’t too light.

Day 2) Catrice Cosmetics Highlighting Powder in shade Champagne Campaign: This was from my August Ipsy Glam Bag and I have been really enjoying it since then. I love the light golden tone, and it isn’t too deep, dark, or intense.

Day 3) Josie Maran Argan Liquid Gold Self-Tanning Face Oil: This one is actually empty now, but it was my go-to facial oil for a lovely summer glow. I used it often throughout the summer and also in Fall when I wanted a little bit of a glowy boost on no-makeup days. I did see a difference with it and felt that it gave my face a sun-kissed look, and I am planning to repurchase it for next summer.

Day 4) Lush Cosmetics Sleepy Hand and Body Lotion: I love the scent of this and find it so nice and relaxing to put on my hands before bed, however I don’t find any difference in how I sleep or how quickly I fall asleep. I didn’t expect it to just magically knock my out cold so I am not really disappointed, and I do enjoy the soothing lavender smell to end my evenings.

LUSH Sleepy Lotion

Day 5) Tarte Cosmetics Lifted Sweatproof Mascara: I actually really love this mascara for a daily look. I don’t wear it for working out so I can’t comment on the sweatproof factor, but it does give my lashes such a lovely fluffy, light, wispy style. I use this so often and am almost done the mini size, so I am planning to get a full size in the future.

That’s it for my first five days of the 25 Days of Beauty I started on Instagram. I will be back soon with the next batch, and continuing throughout the month until we cover all 25 products.

November 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag: Better Late Than Never!

Did everyone else get their November 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag super late? Mine just arrived a few days ago, which is really late in the month, even with me being in Canada. Aside from the long wait, this bag is actually really great. I checked my item spoilers so I knew what was coming, and I was very excited.

The actual bag itself came in one of two colours. There was a mustard yellow or this teal hue, and they had the plain colour bottom and the shiny, darker top half. The yellow bag has a gold top half and this teal one is more of an inky blue with some sort of metallic-like style. I like the look of the November 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag and I actually was hoping for the teal so that was a fun surprise.

My November 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

My November 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

Let’s see what was in my November 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag!

The five items I got this month looked really exciting in my preview. I got one full size item and four deluxe minis, and two things were from brands I already love and use often.

Items in my November 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

Items in my November 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

The item I was most excited for was the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush, which came in one of three shades. I got the shade Feisty, which is a dusty rose hue. I got one of these blushes in the Sephora Birthday Gift and I have worn it almost every single day since my birthday in July. I absolutely love it, I love the formula, the long-wear time, the colour, and everything else about it. Even for a mini product it has a lot in it and I have not even hit pan after almost 6 months. The birthday blush has been my go-to blush and I am so excited to have another shade now.

The other item I was really looking forward to was the ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip, which I already know and love, and have a ton of (as you can see here). This product is full size and could have been one of two shades. I got the shade Baracuda, which was amazing because I already had the other colour Ipsy was sending.

The next three items in my November 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag were things I have never tried (or even seen) before.

I received a Manna Kadar Cosmetics HD Perfecting Powder which is neat to try out but definitely a small pan for an all-over face product. I will be giving this a shot for sure, since I have oily skin and am always looking for ways to take my shine away. This is meant to be mattifying and help with flashback in photos, so this will be great for upcoming holiday events.

I also got a ‘Tini Beauty Barfly Highlighter in the shade Candlelit, which is a stick highlighter with a light pink shimmery hue. I’m extra into a good glow lately so this will be fun to wear.

My last item was a Kensie Deluxe Mini Purse Sprayer, which is handy for on-the-go. It was bigger than I pictured it to be, and the scent is a nice fresh and sweet smell that isn’t too sickly sweet or overpowering.

I really think my November 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag was a great one. I loved the full size ColourPop product, and loved that I got the shade I was hoping for. I am over the moon about the Tarte blush and am really pleased with the Kensie fragrance and ‘Tini Beauty Highlighter. The Manna Kadar powder will be nice to try but wasn’t overwhelmingly exciting, but still good to get.

Even though it took forever to arrive this month I really do love my Ipsy products for November. Did you get a Glam Bag this month? Leave me a comment and let me know what you got!

RachhLoves Topbox Fall 2017: What’s Inside?!

Today I have a fun beauty box to show you! This is the RachhLoves Topbox Fall 2017 Box and it is curated by Youtuber RachhLoves, who I have been watching a lot over the past few months. She’s Canadian so I like seeing the drugstore hauls and items that really apply to me, plus she’s friendly and fun to watch.

Every season she does a collaboration with TopBox for a beauty box, which you can order as single item as opposed to the typical Topbox monthly subscription. I have never gotten one of her boxes before but after seeing her video on this box I had to get it.

It was $22 Canadian with free shipping and came with a mix of full size and deluxe sample size products. I specifically wanted this box for three of the full size items that RachhLoves mentioned in her video. See the items below to find out what was in the RachhLoves Topbox Fall 2017 box!

NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette (full size): This blush palette has 8 different shades, ranging from light pink, coral, deep pink, and everything else. I have never tried NYX blushes but always eyed this palette at the drugstore. It retails for $27 Canadian on the NYX website so getting this in the box was already a great deal for me!

Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara (full size): This mascara is one of RachhLoves’ favourites and I have always liked things I try from Stila. This mascara retails for $30 Canadian on the Sephora website so this was crazy to get a full size in the box.

All of the products in the RachhLoves Topbox Fall 2017 Box

All of the products in the RachhLoves Topbox Fall 2017 Box

Wet N’ Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in shade Precious Petals (full size): I have heard so many amazing reviews about these MegaGlo Highlighting Powders but never picked one up to try. This full size item retails for $5 Canadian so even though I could pick one up myself, it was great to have it included in the box and I was very excited to get my glow on.

GlamGlow Supermud Mask (deluxe mini): This deluxe mini mask came in one of two types (you could choose when you ordered the box) so it was a nice item to try out and see what it does for my skin. I don’t usually spend a lot on fancy masks of skincare so getting to try this out was really fun.

Tarte Creamy Matte Lip Paint in shade Fomo (deluxe mini): I already have quite a few of these Tarte mini Lip Paints from various Ipsy bags, Tarte gift sets, etc. and I love them. I love the formula and wear them all so frequently so getting another one was totally fine for me. I already had the Fomo shade so I will pass this along to a friend.

The NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette and the Wet N' Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder

The NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette and the Wet N’ Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder

Overall the RachhLoves Topbox Fall 2017 box had three full size items, which included a full blush palette and full size highlighter that I have had my eye on for months already. The Stila mascara was amazing to include and a great deal compared to it’s normal retail price. I haven’t tried it out yet but I am really looking forward to seeing if my lashes are going to be huge! I will definitely be posting a review on that soon.

I personally love when a beauty box comes with items you already were hoping to try or had on your wishlist, so this box was a complete hit for me! I will be keeping my eye out to see what RachhLoves includes in her next Topbox collaboration.

Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box Full Spoilers

The other day I shared a few of the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box spoilers and today I have the full box spoilers to show you! I know some people like the surprise factor but I just can’t help myself when I can get a sneak peek of the box. It makes me even more excited for it to arrive and especially with this box. I think the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box may just be my favourite one yet after seeing these spoilers!

There are a few items with variations in the box, and if you are an annual member you will be able to choose some items. Other products are random for everyone but I will share that info below.

The first two spoilers I talked about the other day were the BB Dakota Poncho and the Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate. The poncho has three colour options which you can see on their website here.

The next item for the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box is the Doucce Cosmetics Freematic Palette, which will be either Nude or Smoky. The Smoky one has some purple hues and they are both a mix of matte and shimmer finishes.

There are three different designs of a Homemade by Ayesha Curry Ceramic Mug, and they all look adorable. I love that the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box will have a mug to enjoy on cozy cold nights!

That cozy night will be completed with a pair of Pointe Studio Aloe-Infused Socks, which will be in one of three different colours.

There is a jewelry item in the box, and it comes in two colour options. The Nine Lives Choker Necklace will be either rose gold or silver, and you can see more about it here.

For another skincare type item there will be the Ahava Mineral Hand Cream, which you can learn about on their website here.

In the beauty department there will be one of the following two items: Grace & Stella Anti-Wrinkle Eye Masks (8 pack) or Nelson J. Beverly Hills Coconut Hair Mask.

The wellness item will be one of the following two items: FabFitFun TV Fitness Ball (with Jillian Michaels videos online) or This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray.

That was a lot of info but let me sum it up for the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box. This seasonal box will contain the following:

  • BB Dakota Poncho (one of 3 colours)
  • Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate
  • Doucce Cosmetics Palette (one of 2 colours)
  • Ayesha Curry Mug (one of 3 designs)
  • Point Studio Socks (one of 3 colours)
  • Nine Lives Choker (one of 3 colours)
  • Ahava Hand Cream
  • Eye Masks OR Hair Mask
  • FFF Fitness Ball OR Pillow Spray

That sounds like a pretty awesome box whether or not you choose your items. I would be happy with any of the products but I am extra excited to be able to pick my poncho colour, Doucce Cosmetics palette, and necklace colour, as well as choose which beauty item and which wellness item I want. I love the customization aspect and I am definitely looking forward to having my Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box arrive!

If you want to subscribe and get your own Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box you can get $10 off your first box with my code here!

Swatches of the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette

Yesterday I shared a quick look at the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette and as promised today I have the swatch photos. This palette is full of shimmery, creamy, metallic shades that are just screaming ‘holiday party’ to me. All 20 shades are new and exclusive to this palette, and I love the mix of bold colours and neutrals.

The Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette

The Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette

The palette is split into two halves divided by the mirror so that is how I swatched the shadows. There are 10 on each side so I went in two columns per side to show you the colours. The pigment and formula was amazing on almost every single one, and they went on so smoothly with barely any touch. A few of the light neutrals were a little trickier to apply but I will note that when I get to them.

Starting with the bright side of the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette we have 10 bold colours. I started with the column on the left and then moved to right, and it should be pretty easy to follow along.

The bright and bold side of the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette

Ground, Spandex, Metalhead, Mullet, and Twisted

In the photo above, from left to right, are Ground, Spandex, Metalhead, Mullet and Twisted. All of these are amazing and I love the jewel tones.  Mullet was a little more sheer than the rest and may need to be built up slightly, but it wasn’t chalky, dry, or patchy.

In the swatch photo below, from left to right, we have Aluminum, Dive, Punk Rock, Amp, and Glamrock. Dive was slightly crumbly but both Punk Rock and Glamrock were extremely impressive and smooth.

Aluminum, Dive, Punk Rock, Amp, and Glamrock

The other side of the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette has more neutral shades, although still very shimmery and gorgeous. Some of these were slightly patchy but I think patting them on rather than swiping may help.

The neutral metallics in the Urban Decay Heavy Metals palette

The neutral metallic side of the Urban Decay Heavy Metals palette

In the photo below, from left to right, we have Bass, Demo, Afterparty, Roadie and Scream. Demo was a little bit crumbly but the others in this column were incredibly smooth to work with.

Bass, Demo, Afterparty, Roadie, and Scream

In the photo below, from left to right, the shades are Glory, Starfire, Angelfire, Maiden, and Acoustic. This column was the one with the most issues since Angelfire and Maiden were crumbly and Acoustic was a little bit sheer.

Glory, Starfire, Angelfire, Maiden, and Acoustic

Final Thoughts on the Palette?

Overall out of all 20 shadows in the Urban Decay Heavy Metals palette I found that four shadows were crumbly, but still very pigmented, and two were a little sheer and needed building. All in all that isn’t too bad for an all metallic palette, and the formula overall makes it worth it to me. The majority of these eyeshadows are ridiculously creamy, smooth, and ultra-pigmented, and not to mention they are stunning hues. I love this for a fun palette and am really pleased with it, especially since I redeemed points to get it!

First Look: Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette

Can you believe it is November already? We only have two months of the year left but I remember celebrating the start of 2017 like it was yesterday. I do love these last few months of the year for all the festive holiday spirit and of course the holiday makeup looks! The get my holiday makeup going I picked up the recently released Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Palette, which is a stunning metallic eyeshadow palette.

The brand new Urban Decay Heavy Metals Palette

The brand new Urban Decay Heavy Metals Palette

The Urban Decay Heavy Metals palette retails for $72 Canadian but I actually got it for under $20 by redeeming my Shopper’s Optimum Points. I am not sure if I would have paid the full price for it, as it isn’t an everyday palette, but with my points it made it worth it. This palette has no matte hues and many people will need to pair it will another palette or shadows for a complete look, so keep that in mind. It definitely isn’t a one-stop palette for an everyday look, but it is gorgeous and perfect for the holiday season.

Peek into the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Palette

This limited edition palette has 20 brand new eyeshadow shades in an all-new formula. The new formula has a velvet smooth foiled feeling and gives some great colour payoff. This palette has both bright and neutral metallic hues, organized by two separate sides.

Look at how beautiful the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Palette is!

All 20 shades in the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Palette

All 20 shades in the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Palette

There are 10 super bright and bold hues on the left, a large mirror in the middle, and then 10 neutral shades on the right. The palette slides out of the purple metallic case and is a unique packaging method. It is quite large and can be difficult to pack or travel with, but I don’t mind the different design. Some people are really unhappy about the slide-out case and the middle mirror, but for me it’s worth it for the funky colours.

Come back tomorrow to see full swatches of all 20 new eyeshadow hues in the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Palette!

Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara Review

Today I have a really neat mascara to talk about! This is probably the fanciest mascara I own and I was so excited to try it out. It’s the Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara and it has a really cool feature – a 90 degree bendable wand!

The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara

The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara

This mascara has very luxe packaging with a thick rectangular tube and Givenchy ribbon as decor. It’s available exclusively at Sephora for $38 CAD. The 90 degree bendable wand is a neat feature that is meant to help you reach every lash. The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara claims that it will give you  “a lash extension effect and buildable volume“. I put it to the test and have my results to share below!

The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara

The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara With a 90 degree bendable wand

First of all I must mention the scent. It is very strong and smells like a sweet floral rosy scent. I didn’t mind it right away but after wearing the mascara all day I did still notice it and at some points it was a bit overwhelming, so if you are sensitive to scents then this might not be the best choice.

The next item I have to mention is the wand. The 90 degree bend is super neat (we’ll get to that in a minute) but the brush itself is very stiff. This isn’t a bad thing, and in fact I liked it because I could really push it against my lashes, but be warned it is not soft and flexible. The brush itself is very hard and can easily poke your eye so be careful.

The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara Wand

The wand of The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara

The 90 degree bending wand is where this mascara gets really cool. I found that I could do my right eye (I’m right handed) no problem with the wand just regularly 180 degrees straight, bit the 90 degree bend was super helpful for my left eye and my bottom lashes. I really found it made it easier to apply mascara on the left, and it got my lower lashes well coated with a lot less hassle than I normally have to deal with.

Lashes with no mascara

Lashes with no mascara

Lashes with the Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara

The formula of this mascara is thick and very dark. I liked the smooth application and felt like it really coated all my lashes to make them very black and defined. I liked the thickness I got from using the Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara, but did not find it super lengthening. For volume and thickness I really enjoyed it, and I am going to try pairing it with another mascara that gives more length so I can combine the two for my best lash look.

One more look at the Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara bendable wand

One more look at the Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara bendable wand

Overall I would say that I like this mascara quite a bit, but it isn’t my new favourite. I love the 90 degree bend for the left eye and the lower lashes, and love the thick formula. The wand is super cool but I could do without the strong scent.

Have you tried the Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara? I’d love to hear what you think so leave me a comment and let me know!

I received this for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.

A Few Summer Favourites

Since we only have a few weeks of summer left I decided to share the products I have been continually using and loving so far. Some are new, some are new to me, and some are quite old, but these are the items I have been reaching for day after day in the summer weather. Keep reading to see a few of my summer favourites so far!

A few of my summer favourites that I have been loving lately!

A few of my summer favourites that I have been loving lately!

Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer SPF 30 in shade Medium: I’ve had this for a while now and really like it a lot. It’s super light and very creamy, but doesn’t feel thick or heavy to wear. I get light to medium coverage and I like that it has SPF. It doesn’t keep my oily skin completely matte but it does make it significantly better, especially in the summer heat.

Tarte TarteGuard Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30: This is something I have been really loving so far this summer. I got this mini in the Sephora Summer Essentials Kit and it has been a great on-the-go sunscreen. I don’t think there is anything super unique about it but I wanted to include it since I’ve been using it a lot lately.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in shade Paaarty: I keep reaching for this blush and have used it almost every day since I got it in my Sephora birthday gift. It does have quite a lot of pigment and I have to be a little light with my application, but I love the colour and really enjoy using it. I wear this for everyday looks and more glam looks, and can pretty much apply it without even thinking. The shade is a very nice light pink and has a lot of colour, so just a few swirls on my cheeks gives a really great colour payoff.

Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer: This is not a new product but it was new to me when I purchased it in a Shopper’s Drug Mart points redemption. I had heard so many people raving about the product, and I love tropical coconut scents, so I knew I had to try it. I have now had this for a few months and have used it almost every single day. I love the light formula, the yummy scent, and the colour it delivers. I use a big fluffy brush and can build up the bronzer to get as much glow as I want. I love using this for light makeup days as well as full faces for evenings. This is probably the one product I have used the most often since the day I got it, and with a makeup bag as big as mine that is a big deal.

Julep Cushion Complexion 5-in-1 Skin Perfector with Turmeric: I have used this so much since I got it in my July Julep Maven Box. I love the coverage and it works great as an undereye concealer and for spot concealing. It lasts all day and is easy to apply and blend.

Essence Lash Princess False Effect Mascara: This is such a great product and it’s been one of my go-to mascaras for months now. I love both the Lash Princess Volume and Lash Princess False Effect mascaras equally and they give me incredible results for such an affordable price.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara: This is a mini from the Sephora Favorites Lash Stash set and it’s the one I have been using the most. I haven’t yet redeemed my voucher for a full size but this Urban Decay mascara has gotten a ton of use so far.

So there we have it, a few of my summer favourites. I have been really liking these products and reaching for them all very often over the past few months and weeks. I know that my beauty routine will change when Fall comes but for now I am loving these summer favourites and will continue to use them this season.
