RachhLoves Topbox Fall 2017: What’s Inside?!

Today I have a fun beauty box to show you! This is the RachhLoves Topbox Fall 2017 Box and it is curated by Youtuber RachhLoves, who I have been watching a lot over the past few months. She’s Canadian so I like seeing the drugstore hauls and items that really apply to me, plus she’s friendly and fun to watch.

Every season she does a collaboration with TopBox for a beauty box, which you can order as single item as opposed to the typical Topbox monthly subscription. I have never gotten one of her boxes before but after seeing her video on this box I had to get it.

It was $22 Canadian with free shipping and came with a mix of full size and deluxe sample size products. I specifically wanted this box for three of the full size items that RachhLoves mentioned in her video. See the items below to find out what was in the RachhLoves Topbox Fall 2017 box!

NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette (full size): This blush palette has 8 different shades, ranging from light pink, coral, deep pink, and everything else. I have never tried NYX blushes but always eyed this palette at the drugstore. It retails for $27 Canadian on the NYX website so getting this in the box was already a great deal for me!

Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara (full size): This mascara is one of RachhLoves’ favourites and I have always liked things I try from Stila. This mascara retails for $30 Canadian on the Sephora website so this was crazy to get a full size in the box.

All of the products in the RachhLoves Topbox Fall 2017 Box

All of the products in the RachhLoves Topbox Fall 2017 Box

Wet N’ Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in shade Precious Petals (full size): I have heard so many amazing reviews about these MegaGlo Highlighting Powders but never picked one up to try. This full size item retails for $5 Canadian so even though I could pick one up myself, it was great to have it included in the box and I was very excited to get my glow on.

GlamGlow Supermud Mask (deluxe mini): This deluxe mini mask came in one of two types (you could choose when you ordered the box) so it was a nice item to try out and see what it does for my skin. I don’t usually spend a lot on fancy masks of skincare so getting to try this out was really fun.

Tarte Creamy Matte Lip Paint in shade Fomo (deluxe mini): I already have quite a few of these Tarte mini Lip Paints from various Ipsy bags, Tarte gift sets, etc. and I love them. I love the formula and wear them all so frequently so getting another one was totally fine for me. I already had the Fomo shade so I will pass this along to a friend.

The NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette and the Wet N' Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder

The NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette and the Wet N’ Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder

Overall the RachhLoves Topbox Fall 2017 box had three full size items, which included a full blush palette and full size highlighter that I have had my eye on for months already. The Stila mascara was amazing to include and a great deal compared to it’s normal retail price. I haven’t tried it out yet but I am really looking forward to seeing if my lashes are going to be huge! I will definitely be posting a review on that soon.

I personally love when a beauty box comes with items you already were hoping to try or had on your wishlist, so this box was a complete hit for me! I will be keeping my eye out to see what RachhLoves includes in her next Topbox collaboration.

Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box Full Spoilers

The other day I shared a few of the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box spoilers and today I have the full box spoilers to show you! I know some people like the surprise factor but I just can’t help myself when I can get a sneak peek of the box. It makes me even more excited for it to arrive and especially with this box. I think the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box may just be my favourite one yet after seeing these spoilers!

There are a few items with variations in the box, and if you are an annual member you will be able to choose some items. Other products are random for everyone but I will share that info below.

The first two spoilers I talked about the other day were the BB Dakota Poncho and the Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate. The poncho has three colour options which you can see on their website here.

The next item for the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box is the Doucce Cosmetics Freematic Palette, which will be either Nude or Smoky. The Smoky one has some purple hues and they are both a mix of matte and shimmer finishes.

There are three different designs of a Homemade by Ayesha Curry Ceramic Mug, and they all look adorable. I love that the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box will have a mug to enjoy on cozy cold nights!

That cozy night will be completed with a pair of Pointe Studio Aloe-Infused Socks, which will be in one of three different colours.

There is a jewelry item in the box, and it comes in two colour options. The Nine Lives Choker Necklace will be either rose gold or silver, and you can see more about it here.

For another skincare type item there will be the Ahava Mineral Hand Cream, which you can learn about on their website here.

In the beauty department there will be one of the following two items: Grace & Stella Anti-Wrinkle Eye Masks (8 pack) or Nelson J. Beverly Hills Coconut Hair Mask.

The wellness item will be one of the following two items: FabFitFun TV Fitness Ball (with Jillian Michaels videos online) or This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray.

That was a lot of info but let me sum it up for the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box. This seasonal box will contain the following:

  • BB Dakota Poncho (one of 3 colours)
  • Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate
  • Doucce Cosmetics Palette (one of 2 colours)
  • Ayesha Curry Mug (one of 3 designs)
  • Point Studio Socks (one of 3 colours)
  • Nine Lives Choker (one of 3 colours)
  • Ahava Hand Cream
  • Eye Masks OR Hair Mask
  • FFF Fitness Ball OR Pillow Spray

That sounds like a pretty awesome box whether or not you choose your items. I would be happy with any of the products but I am extra excited to be able to pick my poncho colour, Doucce Cosmetics palette, and necklace colour, as well as choose which beauty item and which wellness item I want. I love the customization aspect and I am definitely looking forward to having my Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box arrive!

If you want to subscribe and get your own Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box you can get $10 off your first box with my code here!

Swatches of the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette

Yesterday I shared a quick look at the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette and as promised today I have the swatch photos. This palette is full of shimmery, creamy, metallic shades that are just screaming ‘holiday party’ to me. All 20 shades are new and exclusive to this palette, and I love the mix of bold colours and neutrals.

The Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette

The Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette

The palette is split into two halves divided by the mirror so that is how I swatched the shadows. There are 10 on each side so I went in two columns per side to show you the colours. The pigment and formula was amazing on almost every single one, and they went on so smoothly with barely any touch. A few of the light neutrals were a little trickier to apply but I will note that when I get to them.

Starting with the bright side of the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette we have 10 bold colours. I started with the column on the left and then moved to right, and it should be pretty easy to follow along.

The bright and bold side of the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette

Ground, Spandex, Metalhead, Mullet, and Twisted

In the photo above, from left to right, are Ground, Spandex, Metalhead, Mullet and Twisted. All of these are amazing and I love the jewel tones.  Mullet was a little more sheer than the rest and may need to be built up slightly, but it wasn’t chalky, dry, or patchy.

In the swatch photo below, from left to right, we have Aluminum, Dive, Punk Rock, Amp, and Glamrock. Dive was slightly crumbly but both Punk Rock and Glamrock were extremely impressive and smooth.

Aluminum, Dive, Punk Rock, Amp, and Glamrock

The other side of the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette has more neutral shades, although still very shimmery and gorgeous. Some of these were slightly patchy but I think patting them on rather than swiping may help.

The neutral metallics in the Urban Decay Heavy Metals palette

The neutral metallic side of the Urban Decay Heavy Metals palette

In the photo below, from left to right, we have Bass, Demo, Afterparty, Roadie and Scream. Demo was a little bit crumbly but the others in this column were incredibly smooth to work with.

Bass, Demo, Afterparty, Roadie, and Scream

In the photo below, from left to right, the shades are Glory, Starfire, Angelfire, Maiden, and Acoustic. This column was the one with the most issues since Angelfire and Maiden were crumbly and Acoustic was a little bit sheer.

Final Thoughts on the Palette?

Overall out of all 20 shadows in the Urban Decay Heavy Metals palette I found that four shadows were crumbly, but still very pigmented, and two were a little sheer and needed building. All in all that isn’t too bad for an all metallic palette, and the formula overall makes it worth it to me. The majority of these eyeshadows are ridiculously creamy, smooth, and ultra-pigmented, and not to mention they are stunning hues. I love this for a fun palette and am really pleased with it, especially since I redeemed points to get it!

First Look: Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette

Can you believe it is November already? We only have two months of the year left but I remember celebrating the start of 2017 like it was yesterday. I do love these last few months of the year for all the festive holiday spirit and of course the holiday makeup looks! The get my holiday makeup going I picked up the recently released Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Palette, which is a stunning metallic eyeshadow palette.

The brand new Urban Decay Heavy Metals Palette

The brand new Urban Decay Heavy Metals Palette

The Urban Decay Heavy Metals palette retails for $72 Canadian but I actually got it for under $20 by redeeming my Shopper’s Optimum Points. I am not sure if I would have paid the full price for it, as it isn’t an everyday palette, but with my points it made it worth it. This palette has no matte hues and many people will need to pair it will another palette or shadows for a complete look, so keep that in mind. It definitely isn’t a one-stop palette for an everyday look, but it is gorgeous and perfect for the holiday season.

This limited edition palette has 20 brand new eyeshadow shades in an all-new formula. The new formula has a velvet smooth foiled feeling and gives some great colour payoff. This palette has both bright and neutral metallic hues, organized by two separate sides.

Look at how beautiful the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Palette is!

All 20 shades in the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Palette

All 20 shades in the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Palette

There are 10 super bright and bold hues on the left, a large mirror in the middle, and then 10 neutral shades on the right. The palette slides out of the purple metallic case and is a unique packaging method. It is quite large and can be difficult to pack or travel with, but I don’t mind the different design. Some people are really unhappy about the slide-out case and the middle mirror, but for me it’s worth it for the funky colours.

Come back tomorrow to see full swatches of all 20 new eyeshadow hues in the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Palette!

Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara Review

Today I have a really neat mascara to talk about! This is probably the fanciest mascara I own and I was so excited to try it out. It’s the Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara and it has a really cool feature – a 90 degree bendable wand!

The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara

The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara

This mascara has very luxe packaging with a thick rectangular tube and Givenchy ribbon as decor. It’s available exclusively at Sephora for $38 CAD. The 90 degree bendable wand is a neat feature that is meant to help you reach every lash. The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara claims that it will give you  “a lash extension effect and buildable volume“. I put it to the test and have my results to share below!

The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara

The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara With a 90 degree bendable wand

First of all I must mention the scent. It is very strong and smells like a sweet floral rosy scent. I didn’t mind it right away but after wearing the mascara all day I did still notice it and at some points it was a bit overwhelming, so if you are sensitive to scents then this might not be the best choice.

The next item I have to mention is the wand. The 90 degree bend is super neat (we’ll get to that in a minute) but the brush itself is very stiff. This isn’t a bad thing, and in fact I liked it because I could really push it against my lashes, but be warned it is not soft and flexible. The brush itself is very hard and can easily poke your eye so be careful.

The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara Wand

The wand of The Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara

The 90 degree bending wand is where this mascara gets really cool. I found that I could do my right eye (I’m right handed) no problem with the wand just regularly 180 degrees straight, bit the 90 degree bend was super helpful for my left eye and my bottom lashes. I really found it made it easier to apply mascara on the left, and it got my lower lashes well coated with a lot less hassle than I normally have to deal with.

The formula of this mascara is thick and very dark. I liked the smooth application and felt like it really coated all my lashes to make them very black and defined. I liked the thickness I got from using the Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara, but did not find it super lengthening. For volume and thickness I really enjoyed it, and I am going to try pairing it with another mascara that gives more length so I can combine the two for my best lash look.

One more look at the Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara bendable wand

Overall I would say that I like this mascara quite a bit, but it isn’t my new favourite. I love the 90 degree bend for the left eye and the lower lashes, and love the thick formula. The wand is super cool but I could do without the strong scent.

Have you tried the Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara? I’d love to hear what you think so leave me a comment and let me know!

A Few Summer Favourites

Since we only have a few weeks of summer left I decided to share the products I have been continually using and loving so far. Some are new, some are new to me, and some are quite old, but these are the items I have been reaching for day after day in the summer weather. Keep reading to see a few of my summer favourites so far!

A few of my summer favourites that I have been loving lately!

A few of my summer favourites that I have been loving lately!

Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer SPF 30 in shade Medium: I’ve had this for a while now and really like it a lot. It’s super light and very creamy, but doesn’t feel thick or heavy to wear. I get light to medium coverage and I like that it has SPF. It doesn’t keep my oily skin completely matte but it does make it significantly better, especially in the summer heat.

Tarte TarteGuard Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30: This is something I have been really loving so far this summer. I got this mini in the Sephora Summer Essentials Kit and it has been a great on-the-go sunscreen. I don’t think there is anything super unique about it but I wanted to include it since I’ve been using it a lot lately.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in shade Paaarty: I keep reaching for this blush and have used it almost every day since I got it in my Sephora birthday gift. It does have quite a lot of pigment and I have to be a little light with my application, but I love the colour and really enjoy using it. I wear this for everyday looks and more glam looks, and can pretty much apply it without even thinking. The shade is a very nice light pink and has a lot of colour, so just a few swirls on my cheeks gives a really great colour payoff.

Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer: This is not a new product but it was new to me when I purchased it in a Shopper’s Drug Mart points redemption. I had heard so many people raving about the product, and I love tropical coconut scents, so I knew I had to try it. I have now had this for a few months and have used it almost every single day. I love the light formula, the yummy scent, and the colour it delivers. I use a big fluffy brush and can build up the bronzer to get as much glow as I want. I love using this for light makeup days as well as full faces for evenings. This is probably the one product I have used the most often since the day I got it, and with a makeup bag as big as mine that is a big deal.

Julep Cushion Complexion 5-in-1 Skin Perfector with Turmeric: I have used this so much since I got it in my July Julep Maven Box. I love the coverage and it works great as an undereye concealer and for spot concealing. It lasts all day and is easy to apply and blend.

Essence Lash Princess False Effect Mascara: This is such a great product and it’s been one of my go-to mascaras for months now. I love both the Lash Princess Volume and Lash Princess False Effect mascaras equally and they give me incredible results for such an affordable price.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara: This is a mini from the Sephora Favorites Lash Stash set and it’s the one I have been using the most. I haven’t yet redeemed my voucher for a full size but this Urban Decay mascara has gotten a ton of use so far.

So there we have it, a few of my summer favourites. I have been really liking these products and reaching for them all very often over the past few months and weeks. I know that my beauty routine will change when Fall comes but for now I am loving these summer favourites and will continue to use them this season.

Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara Review

Today I have a new mascara to show you that I received from Influenster to check out. This is the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara and it is meant to give oversized and extended lashes. I haven’t tried a drugstore mascara in a while so I was really excited to try this one out. I have seen it online a lot and the #RevlonxLashes tag is getting lots of traction on social media. With my curiosity in full force I gave this mascara a go – and here we are!

The new Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara has a really nice brush!

The new Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara has a really nice brush!

I have to say that right off the bat I loved the brush of this mascara. I really liked the triangular type shape where the tip is thinner and the base is wider, but all very straight. It isn’t curvy or rounded like a lot of other mascaras and I appreciated the simplicity of this brush. I also really liked the sleek and simple packaging, The tube is like a flattened oval and the black part has a more matte texture which I quite like. Overall this mascara tube and brush look pretty straightforward so I was very curious to see what the results would be.

After trying the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara just once I was pretty happy with it. I have now been wearing it daily for the past two weeks and have been really liking it for an everyday look. I can use one coat or two and get great lashes in just a few swipes. I did not find this mascara to be chunky or flaky, and it really did seem to separate and lengthen my lashes. It did not add Anton if volume or oomph so I don’t think this is a special occasion mascara, but for everyday at work I really like it.

Bare lashes with no mascara (it was a really early morning - can you tell?)

Lashes with one coat of the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara

I have to say that although it doesn’t look like anything crazy or fancy from the outside, this mascara delivers solid results. I really like the way my lashes look with the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara and it was super easy to work with and apply. I think this is a good drugstore option.

Unfortunately it doesn’t quite beat out the Maybelline Lash Sensational and Essence Lash Princess mascaras that I love so much. I think the difference is in the formula – the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara is a  little more dry whereas the other two I mentioned are more of a wet formula.

This product was provided to me from Influenster complimentary for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.

Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette

Okay, I have to begin with saying that I know I am super late to the game with this palette. The Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette has been around for a while now (even though it says limited edition) and I have had my eye on it for a long time. It came in and out of my cart on multiple occasions but I always talked myself out of it somehow. Until now. Spoiler alert: I absolutely love it!

The Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette

The Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette

I bought this Tarte palette as an early birthday present to myself when Tarte was having a recent sale. I got it at a great price ($33 Canadian when it usually is $52) and was pretty excited to finally get it. I have heard and seen a lot about it and always was interested, but when it finally arrived at my doorstep and I opened it up I was totally blown away. This palette it way better than I pictured it to be, and swatch photos online did it no justice. I was so impressed and happily surprised with how much more I loved this palette in person. I am so glad that I bought it and it had become one of my absolute favourite palettes in my collection now.

The Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette comes with 10 eyeshadows and one highlighter. The highlighter is intended for eye and cheek use and although at first I hardly noticed it, I actually ended up really liking it.

There is one strange thing about these 10 eyeshadows and I think everyone notices it right away when they see this palette. It has 9 shimmery metallic shadows and one random plain matte. I think that is such an odd choice, since this easily could have been an all shimmer fun palette. The one lonely little matte shadow (a nude light brown) is so out of place. It isn’t enough to really make a whole look with only one matte shadow so it probably could have been left out completely. I don’t find this a big deal but wanted to point it out because it did strike me as kind of strange and funny when I first got the palette.

Aside from one single matte hue, the other 9 shimmery shadows in the Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette are absolutely stunning. I am not kidding that I sat on the floor staring at the swatches and practically drooling over how gorgeous they are. Even now I keep scrolling back through photos of the swatches and just shaking my head at how amazing they all look. There are metallic, duochromes, mermaid hues, and more. Whatever you see in these swatches just imagine it amplified by 10 in real life.

To swatch the Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette I started from the top middle and went clockwise. I have the first five eyeshadows together followed by the other 5 shadows and the highlighter.

Out of the above five shades my favourites are Magic, Wings, and Marvel.

The remaining five eye shadows and one highlighter from the Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette

The remaining five eye shadows and one highlighter from the Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette

All of these swatches are so gorgeous!

From L-R: Fairy, Mystic, Dream, Crystal, Pixie, and Believe (the highlighter)

I can’t really pick favourites in this bunch. I seriously love them all and am so into the blue mermaid hues, the lighter duochromes, the bold metallics, and even the highlighter.

As for the formula of these shadows they are all pretty smooth and easy to work with. Myth (the matte hue) was noticeably drier and a bit chalky, but the 9 shimmers are great. I found some to be almost like cream shadows, where they felts a bit thicker and tackier, but in a smooth and creamy good kind of way. A lot of these reminded me of the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadows which have a similar almost creamy feeling and intense metallic/shimmer payoff. The creamiest ones were Magic, Wings, Mystic, and Dream, but all of the shimmers were really nice.

Overall I am truly impressed with this palette and really glad I finally bought it. I love all of the colours, I love the formula, and the shimmer shades are seriously out of this world. I don’t own anything else like it and the colours are beautiful. The Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette has quickly become my favourite Tarte product and one of my favourite palettes I own.

June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag Review

Today I have another adorable Ipsy bag to show you! Last month was the cute ice cream print Ipsy bag and this month is another really cute design. I am very happy with the items I got in my bag this month. The June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag was a total hit for me! In fact it may be my favourite bag yet!

As for the bag itself it is a really quirky and cute polka dot bag with a large lip print graphic and black border. I love the look of this and will definitely be using it this summer. It is back to the traditional rectangle shaped bag that Ipsy normally does but I like the size so it works out for me.

June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

My June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

What did I get in my June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag?

The five items I got in this month’s bag are a wide range of items.

  • Skone Cosmetics Insanely Intense Tattooed Waterproof Eyeliner in shade Jet Black
  • NYX Cosmetics Whipped Lip & Cheek Souffle in shade Cocoa Bean
  • Pure Brazilian Shine Ultra Light Nourishing Oil
  • The Balm Cosmetics InStain Long-Wearing Staining Powder Blush in shade Pinstripe
  • City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadow in shade Cheers to Life

Out of all of the five items I received in my June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag I am really happy with all of them. Not a single item is a disappointment and I like them all, but there are definitely some stand-out products that I want to talk about.

The Balm Blush, City Color Eyeshadow, and NYX Lip & Cheek Souffle

The Balm Blush, City Color Eyeshadow, and NYX Lip & Cheek Souffle

I absolutely love the NYX Lip & Cheek Souffle and was wowed by the super creamy and soft formula. I don’t think I would wear it on my cheeks since it is so shiny and glossy, but as a lip product it is incredible. It has a yummy vanilla cake scent and is smooth to wear. It feels great on my lips and is a really nice nude colour. I think it would be brown on lighter skin tones but since I am quite tanned I usually need a deeper hue to get a nude lip, and this is a really great shade for that.

The NYX Lip & Cheek Souffle in the shade Cocoa Bean

The NYX Lip & Cheek Souffle in the shade Cocoa Bean

The City Color Cosmetics Eyeshadow really surprised me. First of all it is a huge pan, and second of all the colour is stunning. It is a gorgeous bronze gold hue that has some crazy shimmer/metallic look. I was so impressed when I swatched it and it looks even more incredible in real life.

The Balm InStain Blush is also a huge hit for me, since I have been looking for a long-lasting blush for summertime. I like the shade and love the formula, however the sample size can be a bit tricky to get a brush into. I’ll make it work because I really like the products though!

Swatches of The Balm Pinstripe Blush (blended and just swiped) and the City Color Eyeshadow in shade Cheers To Life (swiped and blended out)

Swatches of The Balm Pinstripe Blush (blended and just swiped) and the City Color Eyeshadow in shade Cheers To Life (swiped and blended out)

The Pure Brazilian Oil is great for my hair in the heat of summer. I tend to need extra care during these warm months and I spend a lot of time in the sun and water, so this nourishing oil will be great to help my hair keep it’s shine and save my ends from frying.

The Skone Cosmetics Eyeliner is neat to check out and since it is such a staple item. It isn’t super unique but black liquid liner is a classic for a reason, so I am glad to have this in my bag.

Overall my June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag was a total win and I like all five items I received. With this bag being such a great one it makes me very excited to see what July has to offer!

What did you get in your June 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Julep With A Twist Lash Boosting Bamboo Mascara

Today I have a really neat mascara to show you guys! This is an item I got in my June Julep Maven Box, and I picked it because it had a cool concept and was a new launch. The Julep With A Twist Lash Boosting Bamboo Mascara is a multitasking mascara that has a wand you can customize. You can twist it one way for volume and the other for length!

The new Julep With A Twist Lash Boosting Bamboo Mascara

The new Julep With A Twist Lash Boosting Bamboo Mascara

This is a new launch from Julep and you can read more about it here.

I have never tried a two-way mascara so this was very neat to check out. The volume brush is shorter and slighter fuller, while the lengthening one is longer with smaller bristles. it was very easy to twist the cap and change the wand. The difference is not extremely noticeable but if you look closely you can see the size difference in the two photos below.

I actually really liked the results I got from the Julep With A Twist Lash Boosting Bamboo Mascara. You can see in my before and after photos that it did give me some really nice lashes. I also found the formula very smooth and easy to apply, and my lashes stayed all day.

The formula also has bamboo extract and other ingredients that are meant to boost lash health and and encourage longer lashes over time. I can’t tell if it is doing any of that yet, but I do plan to keep using it because I really love the results.
