Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box Full Spoilers

The other day I shared a few of the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box spoilers and today I have the full box spoilers to show you! I know some people like the surprise factor but I just can’t help myself when I can get a sneak peek of the box. It makes me even more excited for it to arrive and especially with this box. I think the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box may just be my favourite one yet after seeing these spoilers!

There are a few items with variations in the box, and if you are an annual member you will be able to choose some items. Other products are random for everyone but I will share that info below.

The first two spoilers I talked about the other day were the BB Dakota Poncho and the Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate. The poncho has three colour options which you can see on their website here.

The next item for the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box is the Doucce Cosmetics Freematic Palette, which will be either Nude or Smoky. The Smoky one has some purple hues and they are both a mix of matte and shimmer finishes.

There are three different designs of a Homemade by Ayesha Curry Ceramic Mug, and they all look adorable. I love that the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box will have a mug to enjoy on cozy cold nights!

That cozy night will be completed with a pair of Pointe Studio Aloe-Infused Socks, which will be in one of three different colours.

There is a jewelry item in the box, and it comes in two colour options. The Nine Lives Choker Necklace will be either rose gold or silver, and you can see more about it here.

For another skincare type item there will be the Ahava Mineral Hand Cream, which you can learn about on their website here.

In the beauty department there will be one of the following two items: Grace & Stella Anti-Wrinkle Eye Masks (8 pack) or Nelson J. Beverly Hills Coconut Hair Mask.

The wellness item will be one of the following two items: FabFitFun TV Fitness Ball (with Jillian Michaels videos online) or This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray.

That was a lot of info but let me sum it up for the Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box. This seasonal box will contain the following:

  • BB Dakota Poncho (one of 3 colours)
  • Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate
  • Doucce Cosmetics Palette (one of 2 colours)
  • Ayesha Curry Mug (one of 3 designs)
  • Point Studio Socks (one of 3 colours)
  • Nine Lives Choker (one of 3 colours)
  • Ahava Hand Cream
  • Eye Masks OR Hair Mask
  • FFF Fitness Ball OR Pillow Spray

That sounds like a pretty awesome box whether or not you choose your items. I would be happy with any of the products but I am extra excited to be able to pick my poncho colour, Doucce Cosmetics palette, and necklace colour, as well as choose which beauty item and which wellness item I want. I love the customization aspect and I am definitely looking forward to having my Winter 2017 Fab Fit Fun Box arrive!

Two of the Winter 2017 FabFitFun spoilers

Good afternoon and Happy Halloween everyone! It is the last day of October and that bring lots of little kids in costumes, tons of candy, and two Winter 2017 FabFitFun Spoilers! Yay!

The first spoiler came out just a few days ago and it is the Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate skincare product. This is an exfoliating scrub packed with ingredients like pineapple, papaya, and pumpkin enzymes. I am personally very excited about this since it sounds awesome and I always love getting high end skincare in these boxes. I have been loving the Dr. Brandt product from another box, and recently got the Whish mask in the last box. I never purchase pricey skin products on my own so I love the pampering feeling when I get something special delivered right to my door in a FabFitFun Box.

Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate

The second item of the Winter 2017 FabFitFun spoilers is a BB Dakota Poncho in one of three colours. There is a black one with grey stripes, a charcoal grey with lighter grey stripes, and a maroon with black and grey blocking. This item is similar again in theme to previous box items like the scarf in the past Fall box, but these are classic items. I never purchase ponchos or blanket scarves for myself but I do look forward to getting a new cozy one in this seasonal subscription. Annual members should be able to choose the colour they want so that is exciting.

One colour option of the BB Dakota Poncho

Overall even though these items are similar to previous boxes, which I can see some people don’t like, I am pretty pleased with them. I think the Winter 2017 FabFitFun spoilers are great so far and I can’t wait to learn more about the upcoming box!

So what do you think so far? If the two Winter 2017 FabFitFun spoilers are intriguing and you want to purchase a box you can use my link below and sign up today!

September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

Does anyone else feel like you just woke up and suddenly it was almost through September? It came so quickly and I feel like summer passed by in a matter of minutes. September means the start of Fall, lots of people going back to school, Pumpkin Spice Lattes, and of course my September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag!

I want to start off by saying that I totally love the bag this month! I love the chic black faux leather studded style. It’s cool but still simple and I can see myself using this for more than just miscellaneous storage.

Check out the September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag design

Check out the September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag design

Aside from the cool bag design, I think I got a pretty good bag this month. My September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag has three full size items which is awesome.

All of the items in my September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

All of the items in my September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

The items in my September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag are the following:

  • ColourPop Comsetics Lippie Stix in shade Glam Bag: This is an exclusive colour created in collaboration with Ipsy. It is a beautiful bold magenta hue and has a matte formula. I love ColourPop Lippie Stix (and liquid lipsticks) and have a bunch already so this was something I knew I would enjoy.
  • Hanalei Papaya Enzyme Powder Cleanser: I have never heard of a powder cleanser but this sounded neat. It’s meant to be a super gentle scrub that is safe for sensitive skin so I will be giving this a try.
  • Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Radiance Primer: This is pretty much a primer mixed with a glowing highlighter so it could be pretty cool. I don’t tend to go for radiant finishes since I already have pretty oily skin but I do like other Smashbox primers so I will give this a chance.
  • Manefit Beauty Planner Masks (2 sheet masks): This was so fun to get two sheet masks that count as one item. One mask is Astringent + Pore Care and the other one is Whitening + Brightening. Unfortunately I did try the Astringent + Pore Care one and though it felt nice on it left my skin very tingly afterwards so it might have been a bit strong for me.
  • Pixi by Petra Fresh Face Blush in shade Beach Rose: This blush has a soft rosy shade and is made with hydrating ingredients like Vitamin E. It’s really pretty and I liked the last Pixi brand items I tried, so I am excited about this blush.
Swatches of the ColourPop Lippie Stix in shade Glam Bag and the Smashbox Radiance Primer

Swatches of the ColourPop Lippie Stix in shade Glam Bag and the Smashbox Radiance Primer

Out of the items in this bag I really love the ColourPop Lippie Stix and Pixi by Petra Blush. The blush swatched nearly invisible on my arm, but on my cheeks it was a nice light rosy tint.

The Hanalei cleanser is a unique product I have never tried and I really like the chance to check out new items each month. The Smashbox primer has me a little skeptical due to my skin type but I love seeing this brand in my Ipsy bag.

Overall I think two items are amazing, one is neat to try (the powder cleanser), and two are so-so (Smashbox and the masks). I would say that is a pretty good verdict for my September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag, but I think I liked my August bag better.

Did you get a glam bag this month? Let me know what you got in yours or what you think of mine!

My August 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

Today I have my August 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag to show you. I am really happy with the items I got this month and I like the bag design as well.

The bag had three different styles available which were sent out at random. I got the one that says Good Vibes Only, on a blue, pink, and purple ombre background with a gold tassel zipper pull. I like the look and it is fun for the last month of summer. It does feel a little stiff and plastic-like, and it smells a bit like that too, but I think that will fade quickly.

August 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

August 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

The items I received in my August 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag are the following:

  • Catrice Cosmetics Highlighting Powder in shade Champagne Campaign – this is a full size highlighter that is a lovely light champagne shade. It smells like vanilla and I really like how large the pan size is.
  • CLIV Max Hyaluronic Mask – This Korean face mask is meant to hydrate skin and help with anti-aging. I don’t have dry skin so I haven’t tried this yet but it seems like a neat item.
  • The Balm Cosmetics The Balm Voyage Vol. 2 Eyeshadow in shade Willkommen – This is a tiny eyeshadow sample but I love The Balm so I don’t mind. The shade was one of two possible ones, and I got the caramel shimmery bronze shade which I was really happy with.
  • SLMissGLam T35 Precise Blending Brush – I have never heard of this brand but the brush is super cute and feels pretty soft. I love getting eyeshadow brushes in my bag since this is how i build my collection of tools.
  • Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Arresting Volume Mascara – The only other MUFE mascara i have ever tried (Smoky Stretch) was incredible so I was very excited to see this one in my bag. I have too many open mascaras at the moment bus this is the top of my list to try once I finish a current mascara.

All in all I think my August 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag was a big hit. I am very happy about the mascara, highlighter, brush, and eyeshadow. The mask is neat but not for my skin type so I will be passing that along to a friend. I have 4/5 products that I would absolutely have chosen for myself and am thrilled to have so I definitely consider this month’s bag to be one of my favourites.

The Shopper’s Drug Mart Teen Pack: Amazing Deal

Today I have the Shopper’s Drug Mart Teen Pack to talk about, and this is an item that I actually look forward to every year. It comes out just before September as a sort of back to school launch. This pack is such a great value for some everyday drugstore items that people of any age would need.

It seems like it’s aimed at teens, young adults, or students who may be going to dorm rooms in college. I have my own apartment and am long out of school but I still buy one every single year.. There is also one called Gear For Girls which has many similar items with a few changes and there is a Boys Pack as well which I buy for my boyfriend every year.

The Teen Pack from Shopper's Drug Mart is such a great deal!

The Teen Pack from Shopper’s Drug Mart is such a great deal!

This package is only $11.99 Canadian and has over $47 value in it. To buy two or three of these items individually would probably cost me the same $12, so to get all of these pieces in one kit is a really great deal.

Let’s take a look at what’s in the Shopper’s Drug Mart Teen Pack!

Everything in the Teen Pack from Shopper's Drug Mart!

  • Purell Hand Sanitizer Gel mini
  • Pixi by Petra LipLift Max in shade Honey Sheen
  • President’s Choice Facial Tissue (10 count)
  • Dove Moisturizing Beauty Bar Soap (2 count)

All of these items are great staple products. There is a body wash, shampoo, new toothbrush, razor, deodorant, soap…. Almost everything you need for a bathroom restock or your new dorm room bathroom.

Some of my favourites from this kit are the Burt’s Bees Moisturizing Lip Balm, the Pixi by Petra Lip Lift Max and the Masque Bar Luminizing Charcoal Mask. I also love the Dove shampoo, the Dove soap and the Shick Quattro razor.

My favourites from the Teen Pack

Overall I think the Shopper’s Drug Mart Teen Pack is super great deal and comes with a lot of good quality everyday items that you can use at home or away at school. . It has a great price tag and some really good brands included. I personally wait for this every year to buy myself one and the boy pack for my boyfriend. I think it’s a really good value and if you haven’t checked it out yet I would definitely suggest stopping by your local Shopper’s Drug Mart to pick one up.

Two Faves From The Body Shop Spa Of The World

Today I have two recent products from The Body Shop that I want to talk about. I have always really liked The Body Shop and love seeing all of the new skin care products they launch. Between the famous Body Butters, my go-to Tea Tree 3-in-1 Face Wash and Mask, or the delicious Satsuma scent, there are a lot of favourites from The Body Shop. I haven’t checked anything new in quite a while so I was really excited about the Spa Of The World Collection launch with a whole ton of new products. I am definitely behind on this as it has been out for a long time now, but these products have been what I’ve been reaching for all summer.

The Body Shop Spa Of The World African Ximenia Scrub

The Body Shop Spa Of The World African Ximenia Scrub

One of the products I want to talk about today is the The Body Shop Spa Of The World African Ximenia Scrub. This is a softening and exfoliating body scrub to be used after cleansing and then be rinsed off. I have used these types of scrubs before from other brands and there was something in them that seemed to be almost slimy and sticky, and it never quite seems to rinse off. I was worried about that when I first tried this one but luckily that wasn’t the case. This Spa of the World African Ximenia Scrub has a wonderful fresh and clean scent that reminds me of a classic bar of soap. The scrub is not too grainy and is mixed into a really smooth formula that reminds me of the Body Butters.

I really liked the formula and texture of the African Ximenia Scrub

I really liked the formula and texture of the African Ximenia Scrub

I use this on clean wet skin and give it a gentle scrub before rinsing off. My skin feels super soft and smooth and has no oily residue. I love this product for summer since a lot more skin is out and I find t great for a smoothing and exfoliating cleanse after a day at the beach. I use this on my arms, legs, and just about everywhere in between.

The other product I wanted to mention is The Body Shop Spa Of The World Hawaiian Kukui Cream. I found the scent of this to be very similar to the Shea Body Butter scent, and the formula was quite similar too. It has the same super smooth and nourishing feel of the classic Body Butters but this one feels a little bit thinner and lighter. I actually quite liked that, as sometimes I do find the Body Butters can be thick and tricky to really blend all over my skin. The Hawaiian Kukui Cream is lighter in texture but still ultra-moisturizing and has a really nice smell. I have been using this after the African Ximenia Scrub and I love the combination.

The Body Shop Spa Of The World Hawaiian Kukui Cream

Something that I really love about The Body Shop is that instead of putting out gimmicky products or flash fads, they create high quality staple items. These two products remind me just how much I love The Body Shop for skin care basics and every day items that I continually use. Both of these Spa Of the World items have become summer staples for me over the past few months and I am really enjoying them.

Have you tried anything from The Body Shop’s Spa Of The World Collection? Leave a comment and let me know!

Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2017 Kit

Today I have a really fun summer beauty kit to show you. I recently spotted this on the Sephora app and website, but it sold out really quickly so I put it out of my mind. This kit is the Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2017 Kit, which features 11 deluxe mini size products and one full size for only $33 Canadian. I was in a Sephora the other day in another town, and happened to see this kit on the shelf and I had store credit burning a hole in my wallet, so it seemed like the perfect combination.

Sephora Favorites Summer Essential 2017 Kit

Sephora Favorites Summer Essential 2017 Kit

The Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2017 Kit has a range of product types, from skincare to body to makeup. There are 12 different items, all deluxe mini sizes, and they are a variety of brands. Some of them are higher end brands I have never tried, and others are classics. Out of all 12 of the actual products I have never tried any of them so that was a bit factor in the appeal of this kit.

Products in the Sephora Favorites Summer Essential 2017 Kit

Products in the Sephora Favorites Summer Essential 2017 Kit

The products in the Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2017 Kit are the following:
– 1.7 oz/ 50 mL Bumble and bumble Surf Spray
– 1.7 oz/ 50 mL Living Proof Restore Perfecting Spray
– 0.14 oz/ 4 g Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick
– 0.5 oz/ 14.8 mL First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair® Lip Therapy (Full Size)
– 0.5 oz/ 14.8 mL Origins A Perfect World SPF 40 Age-Defense Moisturizer with White Tea
– 0.24 oz/ 7 mL Glamglow Glowstarter™ Mega Illuminating Moisturizer
– 0.25 oz/ 7.5 mL Murad Hydro-Dynamic® Ultimate Moisture
– 0.23 oz/ 7 mL Tarte TarteGuard Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30
– 0.6 oz/ 15 mL Shiseido Urban Environment UV Protection Cream SPF 40
– 0.81 oz/ 24 mL Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
– 0.5 oz/ 14.8 mL Tarte Brazilliance™ Plus+ Self Tanner
– 0.24 oz/ 7 mL Vita Liberata Body Blur Instant HD Skin Finish

I tend to break these kits down into three categories. The first set is the items I am super excited about and was already curious about, researching, and even potentially going to purchase before the kit. The second batch is the middle items, which are nice to have and cool to check out but I wasn’t actively seeking them before the kit. The third group are the ones I never would have checked out if they weren’t included, but being the beauty blogger I am, I will try anything once.

The 4 items I was most excited for in this kit!

With those three groups in mind let’s take a look at group one – the items I was already interested in! I have always been curious about the Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray for some beachy waves. I remember researching it a few years ago and just never bringing myself to buy it, so this is a long time coming that I finally get to try it. I am also excited about the Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream since I have the Sol De Janeiro Lip Balm and absolutely love it. I also have very dry lips right now, so the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy sounds amazing. I love Tarte products and have seen a lot of people talk about the TarteGuard Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion so I was pretty interested in that as well.

More great items in the kit!

The middle group of items includes the Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick. I saw this on Sephora’s app recently and debated on if it would be good for my skin and needs. It’s a nice treat to have it included in this set so I can give it a try. The Living Proof Restore Perfecting Spray was an awesome surprise in this set, because I have been struggling with super tangly hair lately so this will be great to use.

The Vita Liberata Body Blur Instant HD Skin Finish, GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer, and Shiseido Urban Environment UV Protection Cream are all things I hadn’t heard of before but am interested to try out.

The last item in this middle group is the Tarte Self Tanner, since I am naturally pretty tanned and like to be outside in the summer I never really need self-tanning products. I love Tarte though so I will put this aside and check it out in the Fall when I lose my natural tan.

Showing the size of some of the items in my hand

The last group of items are the ones that weren’t even on my radar before I purchased this Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2017 Kit. The Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture and Origins A Perfect World SPF 40 Age Defence Moisturizer both target skin concerns I don’t really have (dry or aging skin) but I will test them out anyways out of curiosity.

All in all I think that for $33 CAD this set is a great deal I have four items I was already actively looking into and considering getting, so these deluxe mini sizes are an awesome way to try them before buying a full size. There are six items in my middle group, which means I am very interested in them and glad to see them included in the kit. The last group only has two items, which I will try out anyways even though they aren’t items I normally would pick up. Overall the Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2017 Kit has a lot of great brands and some really cool products that I am looking forward to using this season.

LUSH Herbalism

Skincare has always been the one aspect of my beauty routine that I am most hesitant to change. I will try any colour lipstick and wear bright blue mascara on a Tuesday, but it takes a lot of research and concern for me to change my skincare routine. I recently purchased LUSH Herbalism to finally make some changes to my skin, and I am really hoping for good results.

LUSH Herbalism Cleanser

LUSH Herbalism Cleanser

I have used LUSH skincare in the past but it was many years ago and I don’t think I gave it a proper chance. I originally ignored LUSH Herbalism due to the strong vinegar scent, but after a few weeks of researching it I decided I would suck it up and ignore the scent in order to give it a shot. In the past two weeks I have gotten used the smell and don’t hate it anymore. I don’t like it particularly but it doesn’t bother me any longer.

About LUSH Herbalism

LUSH Herbalism is a vegan cleanser made up of ingredients such as ground almond, rice vinegar, and rosemary. It comes in a LUSH black pot and is a crumbly texture. You can check it out on their website here.  The method to use this is to pinch off a bit and mush it up in your hand with warm water to create a grainy paste consistency. It can be a bit messy but I will deal with the mess if it delivers results.

About LUSH Herbalism Cleanser

About LUSH Herbalism Cleanser

A closer look at LUSH Herbalism

A closer look at LUSH Herbalism

Right now I am just over two weeks into using this, and have noticed a few things in regards to my skin. I use this at least once a day to wash my face, and sometimes twice depending on if I wore makeup. This does not remove makeup which was a big issue for me at first. I like having one products to wash and cleanse and get everything off my face, so it was hard to get used to LUSH Herbalism. I now use this after I remove my makeup at night, and/or in the morning when I wake up (and therefore have no makeup on).

I like the feeling of this cleanser and enjoy the slightly exfoliating feeling of the ground almonds. It leaves my skin soft, smooth, and almost buttery feeling after – but not in a greasy or oily way. I am used to my face feeling super tight after I wash it (with my previous skincare routine) so having this soft feeling after LUSH Herbalism is a pleasant change.

LUSH Herbalism when wet

LUSH Herbalism when wet

Does it deliver results?

As I mentioned, I am only about two weeks into using this and I have decided to give it a full four week trial. My face feels soft and smooth, however any blemishes or acne I had have not drastically changed. I think I may have slightly better skin and fewer blemishes, and possibly less oily skin, but nothing super noticeable. After a full four weeks I feel like I will have a better time frame to base my review on, so I will keep using LUSH Herbalism and hope I see some great improvements.

For reference I do have a fairly oily t-zone and get minor blemishes and relatively minor acne on a consistent basis. My goal with a new cleanser was to clear up my skin and reduce the oiliness.

Once I finish my full test time of LUSH Herbalism I will be posting my full thoughts, so keep an eye out for that.

Using Up My Beauty and Skincare Samples (#ProjectPan)

Good morning beauties! Today I have a bit of a different post for you. I have decided that I really need to start using up my beauty and skincare samples so I laid them all out and am taking a mini inventory! I realize that I have a ton of products that are just sitting in my sample section, waiting to be used.

Sure, samples are great for travelling – but what if I don’t have anywhere to go? Instead of keeping these forever and letting them wait around I have decided to start using them now.

I know some of these beauty and skincare samples are items I already have used and like, but many are brand new to me. I don’t think I would want to be trying a new face mask or skin cream on a trip anyways, since it could react badly to my skin and end up making it worse. I would rather do my experimenting at home. The few ones I know I like and will use can wait for a trip since they take less space for packing, but anything new or unknown to me has to be used up at home. So far the only ones that I feel confident to travel with are the Smashbox primers and Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I also think I could wing it with the mini Urban Decay Lipstick and Sephora eyeliner pencil since those are pretty generic and I can work with any shade.

Tons of beauty and skincare samples I am going to start using up!

Tons of beauty and skincare samples I am going to start using up!

These photos are what is left of my samples after a mini purge – I set aside a bunch of masks and skincare for my mom and best friend, and took out any foundations that were not my shade. Check out the long list below of all the beauty and skincare samples that I decided to keep.

I tried to organize in a top to bottom/left to right listing so it should be pretty simple to follow along!

Beauty and Skincare Samples Pictured Above:

  • Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Moisturizer
  • Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer (x4)
  • Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo
  • Sephora Contour Eye Pencil: Suede Shoes
  • Clinique Superbalanced Silk Makeup Foundation: Silk Sable
  • Too Faced Born This Way Foundation: Sable and Light Beige
  • Caudalie Instant Detox Mask
  • Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer
  • Josie Maran Argan Liquid Gold Self-tanning Face Oil
  • Josie Maran Whipped Mud Mask: Vanilla Apricot
  • Urban Decay Vice Lipstick: Venom
  • Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid: Peach and Green
  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer
  • Sephora 10HR Wear Perfection Foundation: Beige and Walnut
  • The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask
  • The Balm Meet Matt(e) Trimony Eyeshadow: Matt Kumar
  • Murad Instamatte Oil Control Mask

  • Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eyecolor: Mist, Magnolia, and Purple Dawn
  • Make Up For Ever HD Blush: 410
  • Clarins Rouge Prodige Lipstick: Raspberry Sorbet, Coral Tulip, Red Prodige, and Redwood
  • Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner: Black Ink and Steel Ink
  • Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick: Red Door, Pretty Pink, and Neoclassic

Almost all of these are the samples I get from Sephora orders and some have been sitting around for nearly 6 months. A few items are from subscription boxes and they just snuck in here accidentally, since I usually keep those in separate sections.

I am really excited to start using these up and look forward to trying some new beauty and skincare items. This is kind of a mini start to a panning challenge or#projectpan as I always see on Instagram. I have no idea how long this will take me or if I will discover any new favourites, but I will be keeping you posted along the way! Wish me luck to start making some serious progress on these beauty and skincare samples!

Micellar Water Comparison: Garnier vs Bioderma

I recently discovered the wonders of Micellar Water after totally ignoring the products for months. I used up a small 100ml size of the Bioderma Sebium H20 Micellar Water as my first foray into the product and I fell in love with it. Since the Bioderma brand is much more expensive I decided to try the drugstore favourite from Garnier to compare. Today I have a Micellar Water Comparison between the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water and the Bioderma Sebium H20 Micellar Water.

I absolutely loved the Bioderma Sebium H20 version. It was my first experience with Micellar Water and I totally saw why people have been raving over this product. It changed my skin completely in both the look and feeling of it, and I was thrilled with the product. I wasn’t thrilled with the price tag, as it retails for $26.95 for the 500ml bottle where I am.

I figured that I could try a drugstore version at a fraction of the cost since the Garnier Micellar Water is under $10 for the 400ml bottle. I saw a ton of great reviews online for the Garnier SkinActive version so I was very hopeful, but unfortunately I had the opposite experience.

Bioderma Sebium H20 and Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water

Bioderma Sebium H20 and Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water

Before I get to my personal comparison, I want to talk about the product differences. The Garnier product is much more soapy and bubbly, which you can see in the bottle photos. There are lots of bubbles and when I put it onto a cotton pad it has more of a soapy feel and smell. The Bidoerma one has much less bubbles and almost none come out when I squirt it onto a cotton pad. It also smells more refreshing.

The price difference is very obvious and the Garnier one is much more affordable. It also is easier to find whereas the Bioderma one is available at fewer retailers.

Keep reading to find out what my experience with each of the products was!
